2D Conductive MOFs Intercalated in MXene Interlayer for Fast and Trace Detection of Triethylamine at Room Temperature

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
This study presents alternating MXene@Cu‐HHTP (HHTP = 2,3,6,7,10,11‐hexahydroxytriphenylene) heterostructures with a sandwich‐like architecture, combining 2D conductive metal–organic frameworks (2D‐cMOFs) and Ti3C2TX MXene to enhance triethylamine (TEA) sensing. The composite achieves rapid response (4 s at 50 ppm), ultralow detection limit (1 ppm), 21‐

Ethics in occupational medicine

open access: yesIndian Journal of Occupational and Environmental Medicine, 2009
Ethics, as a principle, is concerned with how people behave when they are faced with a conflict between two or more principles to which they subscribe. In Occupational Medicine, the doctor is concerned with the management, the workforce and his profession as a doctor. In most of the conflicts there is no single correct solution and the doctor must make

Anxiety and depression following cumulative low-level exposure to organophosphate pesticides [PDF]

open access: yes, 2016
Previous research suggests that individuals with a prior history of pesticide poisoning are at increased risk of psychiatric disorder (Freire and Koifman, 2013), but findings regarding the impact of cumulative low-level exposure are inconsistent.

Analysis of hospital costs for robotic and open pancreatectomy incurred during the implementation of a robotic pancreatectomy program at a cancer center

open access: yesAnnals of Gastroenterological Surgery, EarlyView.
In this matched cohort study, total costs associated with robotic pancreatectomy were significantly lower than those associated with open pancreatectomy. High intraoperative costs associated with robotic pancreatectomies can be mitigated by other hospital related factors such as length of stay, number of medication prescriptions, and standardization of
