The integrated management system of ocean color remote sensing data
SPIE Proceedings, 2009The integrated management system of ocean remote sensing data (IMSORS) has recently become more and more important as the data volume growing exponential, the data diversity increasing, and the developing of the marine research, and so on. IMSORS evolves into a service-oriented architecture (SOA) that provides the flexibility, multi-scale, and ...

Remote sensing of atmospheric aerosol and ocean color for the COMS/GOCI
SPIE Proceedings, 2010The Geostationary Ocean Color Imager (GOCI) on board the Communication Ocean Meteorological Satellite (COMS) requires accurate atmospheric correction for the purpose of qualified ocean remote sensing. Since its eight bands are affected by atmospheric constituents such as gases, molecules and atmospheric aerosols, understanding of aerosolradiation ...

Ocean Color Remote Sensing Systems: Radiometric Requirements
SPIE Proceedings, 1988A methodology for specifying the radiometric requirements for ocean color remote sensing systems is described. Consideration is given to the noise equivalent radiance, the saturation radiance, the polarization sensitivity, and the calibration and stability. The degree of polarization across a scan line for the CZCS and MODIS orbits is presented.

A Small Autonomous Surface Vehicle for Ocean Color Remote Sensing
IEEE Journal of Oceanic Engineering, 2007This paper provides a study on the development and the use of a small autonomous surface vehicle (ASV) that automatically follows programmed mission transects, while measuring sensor outputs along the tracks. It discusses the mechanical construction of the ASV, the distributed architecture of controller area network (CAN)-based nodes for science and ...

Remote-sensing monitoring of colored dissolved organic matter in the Arctic Ocean
Marine Pollution BulletinIn the Arctic Ocean, variations in the colored dissolved organic matter (CDOM) have important value and significance. This study proposed and evaluated a novel method by combining the Google Earth Engine with a multilayer back-propagation neural network to retrieve CDOM concentration.
