Polarization‐Multiplexed Metalens Enables Switchable and Compact Chromatic Confocal Sensing with Dual‐Mode Precision Control

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
This work breaks conventional design paradigms by leveraging a polarization‐multiplexed metasurface to create the first chromatic confocal sensor with dynamically switchable measurement performance, achieving 10‐fold miniaturization (Ø1 mm vs cm‐scale conventional probes).

A Scalable Method for Cavity‐Enhanced Solid‐State Quantum Sensors

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Photoluminescent color centres in diamond and hexagon boron nitride are powerful nanoscale solid‐state quantum sensors. Methods for integrating them into macroscopic structures that improve their sensitivity are highly sought after. This study demonstrates a low‐cost and scalable method for the fabrication of quantum sensor‐doped thin‐film cavities ...

Stress‐Induced Melting Controlled Failure Mechanisms of Methane Hydrate

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
We study methane hydrate via nanoindentation and nuclear magnetic resonance (NMR), finding its regional melting and mechanical properties, challenging existing views on hydrogen‐bonded crystals. Abstract Methane hydrate, a kind of nonstoichiometric crystalline, attracted worldwide attentions as a promising substitute energy. Its Dissociation is thought
