Ochrobactrum anthropi (formerly Achromobacter spp.) is an aerobic, motile, oxidase positive and lactose negative gram negative bacillus which is widely distributed in the environment and water sources. In recent publications, O.anthropi has an increasing importance as a nosocomial infection agent.
