Development of Betalactam‐Predictor: A Clinical Decision Tool for Delabeling Low‐Risk Betalactam Allergy Patients. Initial Validation in Penicillin Allergy

open access: yesAllergy, EarlyView.
BL‐Predictor has emerged as a new tool for delabeling penicillin allergy. External validation has shown a specificity of 93% for detecting low‐risk patients. This score could potentially reduce diagnostic costs and the negative consequences associated with incorrect antibiotic allergy labels.

Optical coherence tomography angiography–based analysis of intrinsic vasculature in juxtapapillary melanoma after ruthenium-106 plaque brachytherapy

open access: yesIndian Journal of Ophthalmology, 2019
In this case report, we demonstrate the use of optical coherence tomography angiography (OCTA) as a tool to evaluate intrinsic vasculature in a case of juxtapapillary melanoma which underwent ruthinium.106 plaque brachytherapy.

Choice of Measurement Sets in Qubit Tomography

open access: yes, 2007
Optimal generalized measurements for state estimation are well understood. However, practical quantum state tomography is typically performed using a fixed set of projective measurements and the question of how to choose these measurements has been ...

Retinal oxygen saturation and retinal vessel diameter in glaucoma patients before and after trabeculectomy

open access: yesActa Ophthalmologica, EarlyView.
Abstract Purpose To compare retinal vessel oxygen saturations and diameters before, 1 and 3 months after trabeculectomy. Methods Retinal oxygen saturations and vessel diameters were obtained using retinal oximetry. The effect of the postoperative intraocular pressure (IOP) decrease on the arteriovenous difference (AV‐difference) was evaluated ...

Prognostic factors of optical coherence tomography angiography in intermediate and advanced primary open‐angle glaucoma: A systematic review and meta‐analysis

open access: yesActa Ophthalmologica, EarlyView.
Abstract Conventional optical coherence tomography (OCT) has a floor effect in patients with severe visual field loss, such as seen in advanced primary open‐angle glaucoma (POAG). OCT angiography (OCTA) does not suffer from such a floor effect. However, which OCTA parameters are most useful for monitoring longitudinal progression is unclear.

Peripapillary microperimetry and optical coherence tomography angiography in patients with optic disc edema

open access: yesJournal of the Egyptian Ophthalmological Society
Purpose To compare the utility of peripapillary microperimetry and optical coherence tomography angiography (OCTA) in the differential diagnosis of patients with optic disc edema, including papilledema, optic neuritis, and anterior ischemic optic ...

Strongly correlated crystal-field approach to Mott insulator LaCoO3

open access: yes, 2004
Our success in description of recent electron-spin-resonance results on Mott insulator LaCoO3, Phys. Rev. B 67 (2003) 172401, lies in taking into account strong electron correlations among d electrons and the relativistic spin-orbit coupling.

The optical coherence tomography and microperimetry biomarker evaluation in patients with geographic atrophy (OMEGA) study: Geographic atrophy progression in fundus autofluorescence ‐ OMEGA report 3

open access: yesActa Ophthalmologica, EarlyView.
Abstract Purpose To measure the progression of geographic atrophy (GA) in subjects with age‐related macular degeneration (AMD) in a natural history study. Methods We analysed fundus autofluorescence (FAF) images using a semiautomatic method (RegionFinder) to quantify the GA area in a monocentric study.

Interpreting the structure–function relationship in high myopia‐associated glaucoma: A review

open access: yesActa Ophthalmologica, EarlyView.
Abstract Visual field (VF) interpretation in high myopia‐associated glaucoma (HMG) is challenging due to frequent structure–function discordance and coexisting myopia‐related changes. These changes may reduce the reliability of conventional structure–function mapping and increase the risk of misclassifying non‐glaucomatous VF abnormalities as ...
