Structural Phase Separation and Enhanced Superconductivity in La1.875Ba0.125CuO4 Under Uniaxial Strain

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
Uniaxial strain is used to tune electronic, structural, and magnetic order in a copper oxide superconductor. Application of a moderate uniaxial strain condition across the low‐temperature orthorhombic‐to‐tetragonal transition creates a condition that disrupts the usual stripe ordering.

Bacteria‐Responsive Nanostructured Drug Delivery Systems for Targeted Antimicrobial Therapy

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
Bacteria‐responsive nanocarriers are designed to release antimicrobials only in the presence of infection‐specific cues. This selective activation ensures drug release precisely at the site of infection, avoiding premature or indiscriminate release, and enhancing efficacy.

Solvent‐Free Thermal Defect Engineering in Molecular Frameworks With Volatile Linkers

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
Thermal removal of neutral volatile linkers enables precise and solvent‐free generation of metal vacancies in MOFs. This strategy affords redox‐stable, coordinatively unsaturated FeII sites with tunable spin, ligand coordination, and catalytic behavior. The approach offers a general route to design defect‐functional materials through local coordination

In Situ Growth and Magnetic Characterization of Cr Chloride Monolayers

open access: yesAdvanced Materials Interfaces, EarlyView.
Monolayer CrCl3 and CrCl2 can be grown by MBE respectively on Au(111) and Ni(111) substrates by evaporation of the same CrCl3 precursor. A combination of in situ techniques show that these materials present different structure (LEED), morphology (STM), and magnetic properties (XMCD).
