A Redox-Active Supramolecular Fe4L6 Cage Based on Organic Vertices with Acid-Base-Dependent Charge Tunability for Dehydrogenation Catalysis.

Journal of the American Chemical Society, 2022
Supramolecular cage chemistry is of lasting interest because, as artificial blueprints of natural enzymes, the self-assembled cage structures not only provide substrate-hosting biomimetic environments but also can integrate active sites in the confined ...

Luminescence of the Mn2+ ion in non-Oh and Td coordination environments: the missing case of square pyramid.

Dalton Transactions, 2019
The first observation of luminescence for Mn(ii) complexes with a square-pyramidal geometry (C4v) of the metal is reported. The complexes of such type, namely [Mn(L)2Hal]X, where L is an O,O'-chelating ligand Me2N-CH(Ph2P[double bond, length as m-dash]O ...

The necessity of free and uncrowded coordination environments in biomimetic complex models: oxidative coupling by mixed-ligand cobalt(ii) complexes of diazene–disulfonamide

New Journal of Chemistry, 2019
Importance of molecular access to Co(ii) site is shown by new tridentate disulfonamides, which stabilize uncommon 5-coordinate mixed-ligand vacant-octahedral geometries.

A simple model for predicting the electronic configuration of a dn ion in a tetragonally distorted octahedral environment

Proceedings / Indian Academy of Sciences, 1984
A simple, but general model which enables prediction of the electronic structure adopted by ad n ion in an axially distorted octahedron of ligands (D 4h) is described. The variousd n configurations (n = 1 to 9) are briefly reviewed with some recent results concerning the stabilization of unusual electronic configurations or oxidation states in oxides.

Facile colorimetric smartphone-based biosensor for rapid detection of organophosphorus pesticides residues in environment using the aptamer-enhanced oxidase activity of octahedral Ag2O particles

Analytica Chimica Acta, 2023
The long-term and excessive use of organophosphorus pesticides (OPs) leads to hazardous residues in the environment, which threatens human health to a considerable extent. Colorimetric methods can quickly and readily identify pesticide residue, but they still have various challenges in accuracy and stability.

Jahn-Teller, pseudo-Jahn-Teller, and spin-orbit coupling Hamiltonian of a d electron in an octahedral environment

The Journal of Chemical Physics, 2012
Starting from the model of a single d-electron in an octahedral crystal environment, the Hamiltonian for linear and quadratic Jahn-Teller (JT) coupling and zeroth order as well as linear spin-orbit (SO) coupling in the 2T2g + 2Eg electronic multiplet is derived. The SO coupling is described by the microscopic Breit-Pauli operator.

Trivalent Holmium in an Octahedral Cl3O3 Environment: Synthesis, Crystal Structure and Hirshfeld Surfaces of Coordination Compound with 2,2,2-Trichloro-N-(dimorpholinophosphoryl)acetamide

Journal of Chemical Crystallography, 2020
The reaction of HoCl3·6H2O with 2,2,2-trichloro-N-(dimorpholinophosphoryl)acetamide (carbacylamidophosphate (CAPh) type ligand, C10Cl3H8N3O4P, HL) in acetone-isopropanolic solution produces the title coordination compound [Ho(HL)2(H2O)Cl3] (1). The complex with a low for lanthanides coordination number 6 crystallizes in the triclinic space group P

The NMR chemical shift for a 5f1 system in an intermediate crystal field environment of octahedral symmetry

Journal of Magnetic Resonance (1969), 1991
Using the nonmultipole expansion method, the pseudocontact contribution to the NMR shift arising from the electron orbital angular momentum and the electron spin dipolar-nuclear spin angular momentum interactions with the atomic wavefunctions of the single-β and double-β orbital exponents, respectively, for a 5f1 system in an intermediate crystal field
