Dichloridodimethylbis(thiourea-κS)tin(IV)
The title compound, [Sn(CH3)2Cl2(CH4N2S)2], crystallizes with two half-molecules in the asymmetric unit. Both molecules are completed by inversion symmetry with the two SnIV atoms located on inversion centers.

Quantum spin liquid states in the two dimensional kagome antiferromagnets, ZnxCu4-x(OD)6Cl2 [PDF]
A three-dimensional system of interacting spins typically develops static long-range order when it is cooled. If the spins are quantum (S = 1/2), however, novel quantum paramagnetic states may appear.

Synchrotron Mössbauer spectroscopic study of ferropericlase at high pressures and temperatures [PDF]
The electronic spin state of Fe^(2+) in ferropericlase, (Mg_(0.75)Fe_(0.25))O, transitions from a high-spin (spin unpaired) to low-spin (spin paired) state within the Earth’s mid-lower mantle region.

Preparation, structural characterisation and antibacterial properties of Ga-doped sol-gel phosphate-based glass [PDF]
A sol-gel preparation of Ga-doped phosphate-based glass with potential application in antimicrobial devices has been developed. Samples of composition (CaO)(0.30)(Na2O)(0.20-x) (Ga2O3) (x) (P2O5)(0.50) where x = 0 and 0.03 were prepared, and the ...

The separation of Helium gas from natural gas is challenging but highly important. MIL‐116(Ga), a “non‐porous” metal–organic framework is used as a molecular sieve to separate He from CH4. Druse‐like MIL‐116(Ga) particles are integrated into polysulfone mixed matrix membranes.
