Analytical and experimental FWHM of a gamma camera: theoretical and practical issues [PDF]

open access: yes, 2015
It is well known that resolution on a gamma camera varies as a function of distance, scatter and the camera\u2019s characteristics (collimator type, crystal thickness, intrinsic resolution etc).

Polymer Stress‐Tensor Calculation for a Laminar Submerged Viscoelastic Jet Flow Using Different Constitutive Models

open access: yesInternational Journal for Numerical Methods in Fluids, Volume 98, Issue 5, Page 628-643, May 2026.
This study presents an efficient method to compute polymer stress‐tensor components in viscoelastic laminar jet flows using models such as Oldroyd‐B, Giesekus, PTT, and FENE. By assuming a stationary and parallel flow, the methodology significantly reduces computational cost.

Widely tunable optical parametric oscillation in a Kerr microresonator

open access: yes, 2017
We report on the first experimental demonstration of widely-tunable parametric sideband generation in a Kerr microresonator. Specifically, by pumping a silica microsphere in the normal dispersion regime, we achieve the generation of phase-matched four ...

Compensatory Interplay Between Clarin‐1 and Clarin‐2 Deafness‐Associated Proteins Governs Phenotypic Variability in Hearing

open access: yesAdvanced Science, Volume 13, Issue 20, 9 April 2026.
Functional compensation between clarin‐1 and clarin‐2 in cochlear hair cells. Hearing loss associated with CLRN1 mutations shows striking phenotypic variability; however, the underlying mechanisms remain poorly understood. This study reveals that clarin‐1 and clarin‐2 function cooperatively in cochlear hair cells to sustain mechanoelectrical ...

Modeling of octave-spanning Kerr frequency combs using a generalized mean-field Lugiato-Lefever model

open access: yes, 2012
A generalized Lugiato-Lefever equation is numerically solved with a Newton-Raphson method to model Kerr frequency combs. We obtain excellent agreement with past experiments, even for an octave-spanning comb.

Micro‐Transfer Printed Continuous‐Wave and Mode‐Locked Laser Integration at 800 nm on a Silicon Nitride Platform

open access: yesLaser &Photonics Reviews, Volume 20, Issue 7, 6 April 2026.
A heterogeneous III‐V/SiN platform for lasers at 800 nm is realized using the micro‐transfer printing method. Efficient GaAs gain sections are directly butt‐coupled to SiN waveguides, enabling continuous‐wave and mode‐locked extended‐cavity lasers. The mode‐locked lasers generate highly stable pulse trains with repetition rates up to 9.2 GHz and a ...

Ultra‐Flat Watt‐Level All‐Fiber Supercontinuum Generation With 3‐dB Spectral Bandwidth Spanning From 414 to 1860 nm

open access: yesNanophotonics, Volume 15, Issue 7, 13 April 2026.
We experimentally achieve an ultraflat, 4.35‐W all‐fiber supercontinuum spanning from 414 to 1860 nm (3‐dB bandwidth). To our knowledge, this represents the broadest octave‐spanning, visible‐to‐NIR, ultraflat SC source ever reported, which also exhibits maximal visible band coverage. ABSTRACT We propose a method for generating ultraflat supercontinuum (
