Laser powder bed fusion of bio-inspired rotational lattice metamaterial with advanced mechanical performance

open access: yesJournal of Materials Research and Technology
Inspired by the helicoidal micro-architecture of mantis shrimp's telson, we propose a design concept for mechanical metamaterials based on the integration of rotational configuration and Octet lattice structure to enhance the mechanical performance of ...

Analysis of Radial Excitations of Octet Baryons in QCD Sum Rules

open access: yesAdvances in High Energy Physics, 2017
Using the QCD sum rules method, we estimate the mass and residues of the first radial excitations of octet baryons. The contributions coming from the ground state baryons are eliminated by constructing the linear combinations of the sum rules ...

Decuplet to octet baryon transitions in chiral perturbation theory

open access: yesEuropean Physical Journal C: Particles and Fields, 2019
We have systematically investigated the decuplet (T) to octet (B) baryon ($$T\rightarrow B\gamma $$ T→Bγ ) transition magnetic moments to the next-to-next-to-leading order and electric quadruple moments to the next-to-leading order in the framework of ...

Fragmentation function of g → Q Q ¯ $$ Q\overline{Q} $$ (3 S 1 8 $$ {S}_1^{\left[8\right]} $$ ) in soft gluon factorization and threshold resummation

open access: yesJournal of High Energy Physics, 2021
We study the fragmentation function of the gluon to color-octet 3 S 1 heavy quark-antiquark pair using the soft gluon factorization (SGF) approach, which expresses the fragmentation function in a form of perturbative short-distance hard part convoluted ...

Color-octet quarkonia production. II [PDF]

open access: yesPhysical Review D, 1996
We calculate the lowest order hadronic cross sections for producing colored heavy quark-antiquark pairs in $L=S=0$ and $L=S=1$ configurations. Such $Q\Qbar[{}^1S_0^{(8)}]$ and $Q\Qbar[{}^3P_J^{(8)}]$ states hadronize into $ _\Q$ quarkonia at the same order in the NRQCD velocity expansion as previously considered $Q\Qbar[{}^3S_1^{(8)}]$ pairs.

Mechanical Properties of Architected Polymer Lattice Materials: A Comparative Study of Additive Manufacturing and CAD Using FEM and µ‐CT

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
This study examines how pore shape and manufacturing‐induced deviations affect the mechanical properties of 3D‐printed lattice materials with constant porosity. Combining µ‐CT analysis, FEM, and compression testing, the authors show that structural imperfections reduce stiffness and strength, while bulk material inhomogeneities probably enhance ...

Mechanical characterization of lattice structures fabricated by selective laser melting via an image-based finite cell method with a damage model

open access: yesMaterials & Design
Lattice structures fabricated by the selective laser melting (SLM) additive manufacturing process hold great potential for diverse applications. However, their actual mechanical behaviors often deviate from their counterparts with the as-designed ...

On SU(3)F positive-parity octet and decuplet baryons [PDF]

open access: yesEPJ Web of Conferences, 2020
A continuum approach to the three valence-quark bound-state problem in quantum field theory, employing parametrisations of the necessary kernel elements, is used to compute the spectrum and Poincarö- covariant wave functions for all flavour-SU(3) octet ...
