The violin octet [PDF]

open access: yesThe Journal of the Acoustical Society of America, 1983
Eight new violin family instruments in graduated sizes project the tone quality of the violin into seven other tone ranges, representing the first time a consistent theory of acoustics has been applied to a family of musical instruments. Undertaken in 1956 at the instigation of Henry Brant, they resemble instruments constructed in Europe during the ...

The Soft Gluon Emission Process in the Color-Octet Model for Heavy Quarkonium Production [PDF]

open access: yes, 1999
The Color-Octet Model has been used successfully to analyze many problems in heavy quarkonium production. We examine some of the conceptual and practical problems of the soft gluon emission process in the Color-Octet Model.

Heavy octets and Tevatron signals with three or four b jets [PDF]

open access: yesJHEP 1107:100,2011, 2010
Hypothetical color-octet particles of spin 0, pair-produced at hadron colliders through their QCD coupling, may lead to final states involving three or four b jets. We analyze kinematic distributions of the 3b final state that differentiate the scalar octets from supersymmetric Higgs bosons.

Neural and contractile determinants of burst‐like explosive isometric contractions of the knee extensors

open access: yesScandinavian Journal of Medicine &Science in Sports, Volume 33, Issue 2, Page 127-135, February 2023., 2023
Walking and running are based on rapid burst‐like muscle contractions. Burst‐like contractions generate a Gaussian‐shaped force profile, in which neuromuscular determinants have never been assessed. We investigated the neural and contractile determinants of the rate of force development (RFD) in burst‐like isometric knee extensions.

Interpretation of 750 GeV Diphoton Excess at LHC in Singlet Extension of Color-octet Neutrino Mass Model [PDF]

open access: yes, 2016
We propose that the possible 750 GeV diphoton excess can be explained in the color-octet neutrino mass model extended with a scalar singlet $\Phi$.

Analysis of the mass and width of the $Y(4274)$ as axialvector molecule-like state [PDF]

open access: yesEur. Phys. J. C77 (2017) 174, 2016
In this article, we assign the $Y(4274)$ to be the color octet-octet type axialvector molecule-like state with $J^{PC}=1^{++}$ tentatively, and construct the color octet-octet type axialvector current to study its mass and width with the QCD sum rules in details.

Same-Sign Dileptons from Colored Scalars in the Flavorful Top-Coloron Model [PDF]

open access: yes, 2013
In this paper we study the phenomenology of color-octet and color-singlet scalars in the flavorful Top-Coloron model. We discuss the relevant production mechanisms at hadron colliders and the dominant decay modes, highlighting the most promising ...

Bottomonium Production at the Tevatron and the LHC [PDF]

open access: yes, 1999
Inclusive bottomonium hadroproduction at the Tevatron is firstly examined in a Monte Carlo framework with the colour-octet mechanism implemented in the event generation.

On SU(3)F positive-parity octet and decuplet baryons [PDF]

open access: yesEPJ Web of Conferences, 2020
A continuum approach to the three valence-quark bound-state problem in quantum field theory, employing parametrisations of the necessary kernel elements, is used to compute the spectrum and Poincarö- covariant wave functions for all flavour-SU(3) octet ...

Resummation of Large Endpoint Corrections to Color-Octet J/psi Photoproduction [PDF]

open access: yes, 2006
An unresolved problem in J/psi phenomenology is a systematic understanding of the differential photoproduction cross section, dsigma/dz [gamma + p -> J/psi + X], where z= E_psi/E_gamma in the proton rest frame.
