Increased Ocular Pulse Amplitude Associated with Unilateral Dysgenesis of the Orbital Roof

open access: yesCase Reports in Ophthalmology, 2015
Introduction: Two patients (one with neurofibromatosis type 1) presented with unilateral ocular pulsation. Methods: A CT scan of the orbits revealed extensive dysgenesis of the orbital roof with herniation of the frontal lobe into the orbit in both cases.

Macroscopic morphological aspects, ecometry and rebound tonometry of the eye bulb in sloth (Bradypus variegatus) [PDF]

open access: yesPesquisa Veterinária Brasileira, 2020
: The field related to the visual system of wild animals is deeply scarce. Settling anatomical and physiological parameters for these animals is still a descriptive vision for Bradypus variegatus (Schinz, 1825).

Retinal oxygen saturation and retinal vessel diameter in glaucoma patients before and after trabeculectomy

open access: yesActa Ophthalmologica, EarlyView.
Abstract Purpose To compare retinal vessel oxygen saturations and diameters before, 1 and 3 months after trabeculectomy. Methods Retinal oxygen saturations and vessel diameters were obtained using retinal oximetry. The effect of the postoperative intraocular pressure (IOP) decrease on the arteriovenous difference (AV‐difference) was evaluated ...

Interpreting the structure–function relationship in high myopia‐associated glaucoma: A review

open access: yesActa Ophthalmologica, EarlyView.
Abstract Visual field (VF) interpretation in high myopia‐associated glaucoma (HMG) is challenging due to frequent structure–function discordance and coexisting myopia‐related changes. These changes may reduce the reliability of conventional structure–function mapping and increase the risk of misclassifying non‐glaucomatous VF abnormalities as ...

The usefulness of CorvisST Tonometry and the Ocular Response Analyzer to assess the progression of glaucoma [PDF]

open access: yesScientific Reports, 2017
AbstractCorneal Visualization Scheimpflug Technology (CST) and Ocular Response Analyzer (ORA) measurements were carried out in 105 eyes of 69 patients with primary open-angle glaucoma. All patients had axial length (AL), central corneal thickness (CCT), intraocular pressure (IOP) with Goldmann applanation tonometry (GAT) and eight visual fields (VF)s ...

Real‐world insights on switching aflibercept dosage for enhanced outcomes in age‐related macular degeneration (RISE‐AMD): Safety data

open access: yesActa Ophthalmologica, EarlyView.
Abstract Purpose To evaluate real‐world safety experience with aflibercept 8 mg in a large case series of patients with neovascular age‐related macular degeneration (nAMD). Methods Due to a high proportion of patients on short treatment intervals, patients with nAMD at a Danish tertiary retina clinic were systematically switched to aflibercept 8 mg ...

Variation in measuring and ophthalmic factors correlating with central corneal thickness in the Northern Finland birth cohort eye study

open access: yesActa Ophthalmologica, EarlyView.
Abstract Purpose To assess the correlation between optical coherence tomography (OCT) and ultrasound pachymetry (USP) as methods for analysing central corneal thickness (CCT) and to evaluate ophthalmic factors affecting CCT. Methods The eyes of 3070 subjects of the Northern Finland Birth Cohort (NFBC) were examined at the age of 45–49 years.

Ocular abnormalities and tonometry in the cohort of healthy Eurasier dogs (cohort 2). [PDF]

open access: yes, 2014
Abnormalities were observed on clinical examinations other than gonioscopy examination. Data represent the numbers for each category of abnormalities observed in each subgroup of EDs and the total numbers of abnormalities (with a percentage) are ...
