ABSTRACT Toxoplasma gondii infection poses potential risks to stem cell‐based therapeutic applications; however, the effects of parasite‐derived soluble factors on mesenchymal stem cells remain unclear. Here, we investigated the impact of T. gondii‐derived soluble factors (Tg‐SFs) on human umbilical cord‐derived mesenchymal stem cells (hUC‐MSCs).

Investigation of Specific IgG‐Secreting Cells in Congenital Toxoplasmosis: The TOXODIAG Study
This study addressed the difficulty of establishing a postnatal biological diagnosis of congenital toxoplasmosis, particularly in the absence of toxoplasmosis monitoring during pregnancy, as is the case in many countries. Our work presents an ELISPOT (Enzyme‐Linked Immunospot) method adapted for the detection of B lymphocytes primed to produce IgG ...

We have identified 4 pathogenic/likely pathogenic changes and 2 variants of uncertain significance, 3 of which were novel. The identification of disease‐causing variants in the CRYAA, MYH9, RP2, and CLNC1 genes allowed us to establish an accurate genetic diagnosis of inherited cataract and to describe overlapping clinical phenotypes.

This study investigated Toxoplasma gondii specific antibodies in 135 captive tigers across seven Thai tiger parks using latex agglutination. Results revealed a high overall positivity rate of 42.96%. Ordinal logistic regression analysis demonstrated sex and age were significant risk factors, with females (OR = 20.13) and older tigers (OR = 1.91 ...

Simulated microgravity (SMG) induces host‐cell‐specific mitochondrial remodeling that differentially regulates T. gondii intracellular growth. Mitochondrial dysfunction with reduced ATP production is associated with impaired parasite invasion and growth in HFF, whereas mitochondrial adaptation with increased ATP production in Vero cells is associated ...
