Diversity and Distribution of Fiddler Crabs (Crustacea: Brachyura: Ocypodidae) in Vietnam. [PDF]
Based on recently collected material and records in the literature, 14 species of fiddler crabs (Crustacea: Ocypodidae: Gelasiminae) are reported from Vietnam. DNA barcoding analyses using the mitochondrial gene COI (cytochrome c oxidase subunit I) was performed to identify examined materials and their precise distributional range.

Intraspecific Sensory Diversity and the Decapod Claw: Patterns of Sensillation Are Heterochelic and Sexually Dimorphic In Pagurus bernhardus [PDF]
Information detection is crucial for biological life, yet many aspects of sensory diversity remain underexplored. Using Pagurus bernhardus hermit crabs, we examined intraspecific sensory diversity in chelar morphology. Examinations of scanning electron micrographs of chelar moults by geometric morphometric analyses and linear mixed modelling revealed ...

Taxonomic studies on the Brachyura larvae of the Persian Gulf are relatively few. Samples were collected monthly with a 300μ mesh size plankton net from coastal waters of Khuzestan (Northern Persian Gulf) during May 2007 to April 2008.

Comparison of the coexistence pattern of mangrove macrobenthos between natural and artificial reforestation [PDF]
This study explored which method is more effective in restoring the biodiversity of mangrove macrobenthos in existing methods for abandoned pond‐to‐mangrove restoration including artificial and natural restorations. We found that similar species composition, lower biotic heterogeneity and species interaction among macrobenthos at artificial restoration

Pola dominansi capit pada Uca spp. (Decapoda: Ocypodidae)
Uca spp was a unique crab species marked with asymmetry of the cheliped. A major cheliped and a minor cheliped has different function. Major cheliped size is several times of minor cheliped size (cheliped dominance pattern).

A New Varunid Subfamily (Decapoda, Brachyura, Grapsoidea, Varunidae) for Crabs From European and West African Waters, With the Description of Two New Genera and Two New Species [PDF]
Morphological and DNA sequencing studies of Varunidae specimens, previously considered to belong to the genus Asthenognathus, from eastern Atlantic waters have allowed the description of two new genera and two new species. From a molecular point of view, it is shown that they belong to a new subfamily, distinct from Asthenognathinae and that there are ...

Although Tubuca paradussumieri (Decapoda: Ocypodidae) is an essential species in tropical mangrove ecosystems, little is known about how its intraspecific morphology varies depending on the habitat.
