In Situ Proliferating Peptide Nanoparticle Augments Multi‐Target Intervention of Secondary Brain Damage Following Subarachnoid Hemorrhage

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
This work designs an in situ proliferating peptide nanoparticle as a flexible resolution that modulates the neuro‐glia unit to enable enhanced multi‐target combinational therapy for secondary brain damage following subarachnoid hemorrhage. Abstract Subarachnoid hemorrhage (SAH), a lethal stroke subtype, involves complex pathological cascades triggered ...

Objective Bayesian Inference for Bilateral Data

open access: yes, 2015
This paper presents three objective Bayesian methods for analyzing bilateral data under Dallal's model and the saturated model. Three parameters are of interest, namely, the risk difference, the risk ratio, and the odds ratio.

Gompertz Law‐Based Biological Age (GOLD BioAge): A Simple and Practical Measurement of Biological Ageing to Capture Morbidity and Mortality Risks

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
The Gompertz law‐based biological age metric (GOLD BioAge) introduces interpretable convenient and interpretable calculations to capture mortality, disease, and frailty risks. Its applications to proteomics and metabolomics (ProtAge and MetAge) demonstrate clinical potential to enhance aging evaluation and prevent age‐related diseases.

Evidence of primary aldosteronism in a predominantly female cohort of normotensive individuals: a very high odds ratio for progression into arterial hypertension.

open access: yesJournal of Clinical Endocrinology and Metabolism, 2013
CONTEXT Primary aldosteronism (PA) is an established cause of hypertension, whereas high-normal serum aldosterone levels have been linked to an increased risk for hypertension.

Genetic Regulation of Alternative Polyadenylation Provides Novel Insights into Molecular Mechanisms Underlying Non‐small Cell Lung Cancer

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Compared with the non‐risk G allele of rs9606, the risk T allele of rs9606 decreases the binding affinity of NUDT21 for LYRM4, triggering 3'UTR shortening that stabilizes LYRM4 mRNA and elevates its expression. Increased LYRM4 expression promoted malignant phenotypes of non‐small cell lung cancer (NSCLC) cells through modulating ferroptosis, supporting
