Odds Ratio or Prevalence Ratio? An Overview of Reported Statistical Methods and Appropriateness of Interpretations in Cross-sectional Studies with Dichotomous Outcomes in Veterinary Medicine

open access: yesFrontiers in Veterinary Science, 2017
One of the most commonly observational study designs employed in veterinary is the cross-sectional study with binary outcomes. To measure an association with exposure, the use of prevalence ratios (PR) or odds ratios (OR) are possible.

Some reproductive indexes of thirty dairy herds in the Po valley

open access: yesItalian Journal of Animal Science, 2011
The need of increasing the daily milk yield often has negative backup on herd fertility (Westwood et al., 2002). Culling because of reproductive failure is a cost in dairy breeding.

Directing store flyers to the appropriate audience [PDF]

open access: yes, 2007
Grocery shoppers were questioned about the frequency of purchasing items that were featured in the store's flyers. This measure was used as the dependent variable in a multinomial logit model with the independent variables being various aspects of ...

Odds Ratio Estimation for Small Count in Zero-Inflated Poisson

open access: yesIEEE Access, 2020
The odds ratio estimation when observed frequencies are very small usually causes difficulty in calculation. In this paper, we proposed the estimator of odds ratio for small count using Empirical Bayes (EB) in Zero-inflated Poisson distribution, where ...

Quantifying and estimating additive measures of interaction from case-control data

open access: yes, 2017
In this paper we develop a general framework for quantifying how binary risk factors jointly influence a binary outcome. Our key result is an additive expansion of odds ratios as a sum of marginal effects and interaction terms of varying order.

L'analyse log-linéaire de tableaux de contingence et le modèle logit II : interaction et rapport de chances à propos d'un problème d'évaluation contingente

open access: yesCybergeo, 2003
In this second part of the presentation of the loglinear analysis and the logit model, the author shows, within the frame of a contingent valuation, a few examples of answers to hypotheses about relations between the acceptation to pay more for household

Response to neoadjuvant chemotherapy in early breast cancers is associated with epithelial–mesenchymal transition and tumor‐infiltrating lymphocytes

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Epithelial–mesenchymal transition (EMT) and tumor‐infiltrating lymphocytes (TILs) are associated with early breast cancer response to neoadjuvant chemotherapy (NAC). This study evaluated EMT and TIL shifts, with immunofluorescence and RNA sequencing, at diagnosis and in residual tumors as potential biomarkers associated with treatment response.
