AbstractTwo cases of glandular odontogenic cysts are reported. The unique histological features, eg, the intraepithelial glandular structure, papillary processes, and eosinophilic cuboidal and larger granular superficial cells are sufficient to warrant glandular odontogenic cyst as a distinct entity.

Recurring odontogenic cysts

Summary The clinical histories of six patients are described in whom seven odontogenic cysts recurred at the site of removal of the original cyst. All these cysts had an identical histological appearance in that the epithelium was keratinising and the cyst wall was thin and virtually free from inflammatory cell infiltrate.

This case report describes a diagnosis and surgical treatment of an odontogenic cyst. Odontogenic cysts can be classified depending on the stage in odontogenesis when cyst formation occurs.
