A Retrospective Radiologic Analysis of the Treatment Outcomes of Ameloblastomas
ABSTRACT Introduction The current study reviewed the postoperative radiologic findings of 156 cases of ameloblastoma diagnosed at a tertiary institution in South Africa. Methods Histologically diagnosed cases of ameloblastomas between 2012 and 2022 were retrospectively reviewed.

Odontogenic tumors are derived from epithelial, ectomesenchymal and/or mesenchymal elements that are or have been a part of the tooth-forming apparatus. Of all the odontogenic tumors, calcifying epithelial odontogenic tumor accounts for 1% of the cases.

Brain Tumor Segmentation Network Using Attention-based Fusion and Spatial Relationship Constraint [PDF]
Delineating the brain tumor from magnetic resonance (MR) images is critical for the treatment of gliomas. However, automatic delineation is challenging due to the complex appearance and ambiguous outlines of tumors. Considering that multi-modal MR images can reflect different tumor biological properties, we develop a novel multi-modal tumor ...

ABSTRACT Craniofacial and dentofacial anomalies often result from disruptions in embryogenetic processes driven by genetic alterations. Dental development involves complex interactions between coding and non‐coding genes, orchestrated by a network of signaling pathways.

Rare odontogenic tumor of the mandible
Central odontogenic fibroma is an extremely rare benign tumor accounting for less than 0.1% of all odontogenic tumors. This case report describes a case of central odontogenic fibroma arising in relation to the left lower second premolar and first molar ...

Orofacial Epidermoid Cysts: A Case Series
ABSTRACT Epidermoid cysts can occur anywhere in the body but are uncommon in the orofacial region, with a 7% incidence in the head and neck and 1.6% in the oral cavity. We diagnosed two cases in the left cheek and successfully operated on them through an intraoral approach.

ABSTRACT Background and Aims Odontogenic keratocyst (OKC) is a radiolucent jaw lesion often mistaken for similar conditions like ameloblastomas on panoramic radiographs. Accurate diagnosis is vital for effective management, but manual image interpretation can be inconsistent.

Cancer and nonextensive statistics [PDF]
We propose a new model of cancer growth based on nonextensive entropy. The evolution equation depends on the nonextensive parameter q. The exponential, the logistic, and the Gompertz growth laws are particular cases of the generalized model. Experimental data of different tumors have been shown to correspond to all these tumor-growth laws.
