Compound Odontoma in a Dog [PDF]

Compound odontomas are rare tumors of dental origin. Though benign, their effect as a space occupying lesion can be dramatic. A large compound odontoma in the caudal right mandible of a five and a half month old dog was managed by surgical enucleation of the abnormal tissues. No recurrence was evident 6 months later.

An ameloblastic fibro-odontoma in a 14-year-old girl is reported. The case has clinical interest because of the location and the size of the tumor which was surgically enucleated. Abstract A case of complex odontoma in the region of the lower left second and third molars in a 17-year-old boy has been reported. The tumor, which produced no clinical symptoms, was discovered on routine dental roentgenograms. The tumor was surgically removed, and the diagnosis was confirmed by histologic examination.
