D‐amino acid oxidase as a chemogenetic tool for spatiotemporally controlled hydrogen peroxide production: The oxygen connection

open access: yesBritish Journal of Pharmacology, EarlyView.
Abstract Background and Purpose D‐amino acid oxidase (DAO) has been developed as a chemogenetic tool, to precisely manipulate redox levels in tissues and cells by generating H2O2 in the presence of D‐amino acids. The enzyme's significant oxygen consumption during H2O2 production may influence cellular oxygen levels.

The Silver Jubilee (2025) of Insulin Glargine: Introducing the Era of Long‐Acting Insulin Analogues for Diabetes Mellitus

open access: yesDiabetes, Obesity and Metabolism, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT In the year 2000 the first once daily long‐acting bioengineered insulin analogue (LAIA), insulin glargine (‘glargine’), a true basal insulin (BI), became available for clinical use. This led to the decline in the 50‐year‐old era and prominence of the intermediate‐acting insulins, neutral protamine Hagedorn (NPH) and lente, requiring twice ...

Online Dispute Resolution Through the Lens of Bargaining and Negotiation Theory: Toward an Integrated Model [PDF]

open access: yes, 2007
[Excerpt] In this article we apply negotiation and bargaining theory to the analysis of online dispute resolution. Our principal objective is to develop testable hypotheses based on negotiation theory that can be used in ODR research.

First Results of a New Inversion Tool for Thermospheric Neutral Mass Density Computations During Severe Geomagnetic Storms

open access: yesAGU Advances, Volume 7, Issue 3, June 2026.
Abstract In Low Earth Orbit (LEO), atmospheric drag is the dominant source of trajectory prediction error below approximately 700 km altitude, primarily due to inaccuracies in thermospheric density models. This work presents a method for temporally deconvolving Energy Dissipation Rates (EDRs) to produce single‐satellite density estimates, which can be ...

Functional modulation of IFT kinesins extends the sensory repertoire of ciliated neurons in Caenorhabditis elegans [PDF]

open access: yes, 2006
The diversity of sensory cilia on Caenorhabditis elegans neurons allows the animal to detect a variety of sensory stimuli. Sensory cilia are assembled by intraflagellar transport (IFT) kinesins, which transport ciliary precursors, bound to IFT particles,

Do Storm Characteristics Affect Urban Flood and Its Control? Assessment of Urban Drainage System Considering Rainfall Spatial Variability

open access: yesJournal of Flood Risk Management, Volume 19, Issue 2, June 2026.
ABSTRACT The interaction between rainfall spatial–temporal variability and watershed response has been extensively studied in recent decades. Due to the influence of spatiotemporal non‐uniformity and variability in urban rainfall processes, the urban drainage system can exhibit different capabilities of handling flood risk.

Rolling Manifolds of Different Dimensions [PDF]

open access: yes, 2013
If $(M,g)$ and $(\hM,\hg)$ are two smooth connected complete oriented Riemannian manifolds of dimensions $n$ and $\hn$ respectively, we model the rolling of $(M,g)$ onto $(\hM,\hg)$ as a driftless control affine systems describing two possible ...
