The nature of the correlated electron gas and its response to photo-injected electron-hole pairs in nominally undoped and modulation-doped multiple quantum-well (MQW) structures was studied by experiment and theory, revealing a new type of optically ...

Abstract Lake eutrophication remains a significant challenge for water‐quality management across the world. Many management strategies focus on reducing nutrient inputs, but other environmental factors can substantially influence the yield of algal biomass for a given level of nutrients.

Abstract This study presents simultaneous measurements of electron phase space density (PSD) gradients in geostationary orbit using data from GK2A, GOES‐16, and GOES‐17. By leveraging a three‐satellite configuration, we provide statistical results of PSD gradient estimation in invariant coordinates.

Gastroenterological disorders and hepatic disease in adults with cerebral palsy: A systematic review
Abstract Aim To describe the incidence, prevalence, and prognostic factors for gastroenterological disorders and hepatic disease in adults with cerebral palsy (CP), and to examine the effectiveness of any screening or interventions. Method Six databases were searched for articles published in any language since 1990 meeting eligibility criteria ...

The Lx-T and Lx-sigma Relationships for Galaxy Clusters Revisited
The relationships between the X-ray determined bolometric luminosity Lx, the temperature T of the intracluster gas, and the optical measured velocity dispersion sigma of the cluster galaxies are updated for galaxy clusters using the largest sample of 256

Quantifying sources of methane using light alkanes in the Los Angeles basin, California [PDF]
Methane (CH4), carbon dioxide (CO2), carbon monoxide (CO), and C2-C5 alkanes were measured throughout the Los Angeles (L.A.) basin in May and June 2010. We use these data to show that the emission ratios of CH4/CO and CH4/CO2 in the L.A. basin are larger

Reproducibility in lie detection research: A case study of the cue called complications
Abstract Purpose This review examined reproducibility in verbal lie detection research, wherein studies typically involve coding statements to identify deception cues. Such coding is prone to analytic flexibility that can invite false positives. I focused on the cue called complications as a case study.

Rolling Manifolds: Intrinsic Formulation and Controllability
In this paper, we consider two cases of rolling of one smooth connected complete Riemannian manifold $(M,g)$ onto another one $(\hM,\hg)$ of equal dimension $n\geq 2$.

Internal transitions of negatively charged magneto-excitons and many body effects in a two-dimensional electron gas [PDF]
Spin-singlet and spin-triplet internal transitions of quasi-two-dimensional, negatively charged magneto-excitons (X-) and their evolution with excess electron density have been studied in GaAs/AlGaAs quantum-wells by optically detected resonance (ODR ...
