Assessment of Monomer Release From Resin Composites Following the Use of Various Modeling Liquids

open access: yesJournal of Esthetic and Restorative Dentistry, Volume 38, Issue 10, Page 1933-1946, October 2026.
ABSTRACT Objectives The chemical composition of resin composites and the use of modeling liquids may influence the release of residual monomer, potentially impacting biocompatibility. This in vitro study evaluated the effect of different modeling liquids on the elution of monomers from two resin composites.

The Oxylipin Dependent Quorum Sensing System enhances Pseudomonas aeruginosa dissemination during burn-associated infection.

open access: yesPLoS Pathogens
Pseudomonas aeruginosa is a leading cause of life-threatening infections in burn patients, yet the molecular cues driving its hypervirulence remain poorly understood. Here, we identify the Oxylipin Dependent Quorum Sensing (ODS) system as a key regulator

METTL18 is Required for Developmental, Metabolic, and Endocrine Regulation of Mammalian Growth

open access: yesThe FASEB Journal, Volume 40, Issue 17, 15 September 2026.
METTL18 is essential for histidine Nτ‐methylation of proteins, normal embryonic development, iron and lipid metabolism, and hormone signaling pathways that support postnatal growth in mice. The main points of this study are as follows: First, mouse METTL18 catalyzes histidine Nτ‐methylation. Next, Mettl18 KO embryos are significantly smaller than their

Insights into the effects of reproductive phase thermal stress on physiology and yield‐related traits of rice cultivars

open access: yesAgrosystems, Geosciences &Environment, Volume 9, Issue 3, September 2026.
Abstract High temperatures lead to a significant drop in rice (Oryza sativa L.) productivity worldwide, especially during the reproductive stage. This research was piloted to evaluate 10 promising rice cultivars for their ability to withstand high‐temperature stress (HS) during the reproductive phase and to assess the impact on physiology and yield ...

Five New Iridoids From the Leaves of Viburnum macrocephalum f. macrocephalum and Their Free Radical Scavenging Activity

open access: yesChemistry &Biodiversity, Volume 23, Issue 9, September 2026.
Five new iridoids, viburetins D–H, featuring dioxatricyclodecane and ring‑opened monocyclic skeletons, are isolated from the leaves of Viburnum macrocephalum f. macrocephalum, enriching the chemical diversity of Viburnum. Preliminary DPPH and ABTS assays reveal varying degrees of radical scavenging activity.

Unveiling the mosaic: Exploring various movement disorders in osmotic demyelination syndrome

open access: yesAnnals of Movement Disorders
Osmotic demyelination syndrome (ODS) is characterized by noninflammatory demyelination within the central nervous system with symmetrical lesions in the pontine and extrapontine regions, such as the caudate, putamen, midbrain, thalamus, cerebellum, and ...

Constituents From the Flowers of Viburnum macrocephalum f. macrocephalum and Their α‐Amylase and α‐Glucosidase Inhibitory Activities

open access: yesChemistry &Biodiversity, Volume 23, Issue 9, September 2026.
Two new cadinane‑type sesquiterpenes, viburetones A and B, were isolated from Viburnum macrocephalum flowers, marking the first cadinane skeletons in this genus. Viburetone A showed dual α‑amylase and α‑glucosidase inhibition comparable to acarbose, and docking clarified its binding.

Bioactive Phenolics of Lygeum spartum L.: Insights Into Antioxidant, Anticholinesterase, and Antityrosinase Activities

open access: yesChemistry &Biodiversity, Volume 23, Issue 9, September 2026.
Phenolic profile and bioactivity of Lygeum spartum L. ABSTRACT The phenolic composition of roots and leaves of Lygeum spartum L., a Mediterranean Poaceae species, was analyzed by HPLC–DAD, revealing an organ‐specific distribution of phenolic compounds, with ferulic acid identified as the predominant phenolic compound in the methanolic leaf extract (4 ...
