Solvent‐, Catalyst‐, and Heating‐Free Mechanochemical Depolymerization of Polyurethane

open access: yesChemSusChem, Volume 19, Issue 13, 14 July 2026.
A sustainable mechanochemical strategy is developed for polyurethane depolymerization under ambient conditions using only NaOH. Ball milling enables efficient urethane bond cleavage, allowing up to 69% polyol recovery from commercial PU foams within 3 h. This energy‐efficient approach offers a novel route for polyurethane recycling.

Clusterization‐Triggered Emission from Cellulose‐Based Luminophores in Dilute Aqueous Solution through Imine Formation

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, Volume 36, Issue 58, 20 July 2026.
Clusterization‐triggered emission is realized in dilute aqueous solution by introducing imine linkages into cellulose‐based luminophores. Imine functionalization creates O/N‐rich, hydrogen‐bonded clustered microenvironments that stabilize emissive states and restrict molecular motions. Luminescence is tunable by amine type and multiplicity.

A Steerable and Expandable Magnetic Aspiration Catheter for Enhanced Aspiration Thrombectomy

open access: yesAdvanced Intelligent Systems, Volume 8, Issue 7, July 2026.
This article presents a novel magnetic aspiration catheter (MAC) that can be both actively steered and undergo distal‐end expansion via externally applied magnetic fields. The MAC facilitates precise branch selection and enhances clot engagement by improving endovascular navigation and aspiration efficiency. Phantom experiments validate its feasibility

Rapid Metabolic and Behavioral Maladaptations Following Short‐Term Obesogenic Diet Withdrawal During Postweaning Development in Male Wistar Rats

open access: yesBrain and Behavior, Volume 16, Issue 7, July 2026.
Postweaning male Wistar rats were fed a high‐sugar/high‐fat (HSHF) diet for 14 days, with or without a 48‐h withdrawal period followed by return to the control diet. Continued HSHF intake increased visceral adiposity, hepatic glycogen, and triacylglycerol accumulation, as well as systemic and central inflammatory markers.

Comparative Evaluation of the Cytotoxic Effect of Dysphania ambrosioides Extracts Against Human Breast and Cervical Cancer Cells

open access: yesChemistry &Biodiversity, Volume 23, Issue 7, July 2026.
This study evaluates the geographic influence on the chemical and biological profiles of Dysphania ambrosioides collected from Brazilian and Colombian sources. Following extraction, metabolic fingerprinting via HPLC‐MS reveals distinct phytochemical variations between the geographical origins.

Interpersonal Problems as Mediators of the Association Between Personality Disorders and Mental Health

open access: yesClinical Psychology &Psychotherapy, Volume 33, Issue 4, July/August 2026.
ABSTRACT Impairments in interpersonal functioning are a core transdiagnostic feature of personality disorders (PDs). While interpersonal problems are known to worsen clinical outcomes, their mediating role between PDs and mental health requires further empirical examination.

Herbivore Identity and Species Richness Shape Fruit Chemical and Quality Responses to Foliar Herbivory

open access: yesEcology and Evolution, Volume 16, Issue 7, July 2026.
The cascading effects of foliar herbivory on specialized metabolism, specifically within reproductive tissue like fruit, are relatively understudied. We conducted a greenhouse experiment with varying combinations of three common pest species on fruiting strawberry plants.
