ABSTRACT Deoxyuridine (dUrd) is often misincorporated into genomic DNA in cancer patients receiving antimetabolite chemotherapy. This activates base excision repair and recruits ataxia telangiectasia‐mutated and Rad3‐related (ATR), which coordinates DNA repair with nucleotide metabolism by facilitating ribonucleotide reductase (RNR) activity ...

METTL18 is Required for Developmental, Metabolic, and Endocrine Regulation of Mammalian Growth
METTL18 is essential for histidine Nτ‐methylation of proteins, normal embryonic development, iron and lipid metabolism, and hormone signaling pathways that support postnatal growth in mice. The main points of this study are as follows: First, mouse METTL18 catalyzes histidine Nτ‐methylation. Next, Mettl18 KO embryos are significantly smaller than their

Abstract High temperatures lead to a significant drop in rice (Oryza sativa L.) productivity worldwide, especially during the reproductive stage. This research was piloted to evaluate 10 promising rice cultivars for their ability to withstand high‐temperature stress (HS) during the reproductive phase and to assess the impact on physiology and yield ...

Two new cadinane‑type sesquiterpenes, viburetones A and B, were isolated from Viburnum macrocephalum flowers, marking the first cadinane skeletons in this genus. Viburetone A showed dual α‑amylase and α‑glucosidase inhibition comparable to acarbose, and docking clarified its binding.

Biocompatible bovine serum albumin‐stabilized copper nanoclusters (Cu@BSA NCs) were engineered to integrate potent antimicrobial activity with efficient pesticide adsorption. The dual mechanism, involving Cu species/ROS‐mediated microbial inactivation and BSA‐facilitated pesticide capture, enables simultaneous extension of fresh produce shelf‐life by ≥

Abstract BACKGROUND Climate change is currently affecting chemical grape composition and, consequently, grape quality. The foliar application of biostimulants has emerged as a promising approach to mitigate these effects. This study investigated the effects of foliar applications of calcium (Ca), methyl jasmonate (MeJ), and their combination (Ca + MeJ)
