Actinomycin Analogs From Streptomyces polyantibioticus S4D258: Structural Elucidation and Antiproliferative Activity Against Triple‐Negative Breast Cancer

open access: yesChemistry &Biodiversity, Volume 23, Issue 10, October 2026.
Fifteen new actinomycin analogs, named actinomycins H1–H15, are identified from S. polyantibioticus S4D258. Actinomycins H7–H15 are truncated actinomycin analogs. Actinomycins H1–H6 and H9 exhibit significant antiproliferative activities against both MDA‐MB‐231 and 4T1 TNBC cells.

Mannosylxylarinols A and B, Two New 3,4‐Seco‐ergostane‐type Steroidal Saponins From the Fungus Xylaria necrophora SZSS1‐2‐2

open access: yesChemistry &Biodiversity, Volume 23, Issue 10, October 2026.
Two new 3,4‐seco‐ergostane saponins (1–2) and four known compounds were isolated from Xylaria necrophora. Structures were elucidated via spectroscopy, ECD, and computational NMR. Compound 5 selectively inhibited BV2 microglial cells (IC50 = 17.10 µM), while all compounds showed no antimicrobial activity against tested microorganisms. ABSTRACT Two new 3,

Cytotoxic Dihydroagarofuran Sesquiterpenoids Isolated From the Roots of Tripterygium wilfordii

open access: yesChemistry &Biodiversity, Volume 23, Issue 10, October 2026.
Ten undescribed dihydro‐β‐agarofuran derivatives were isolated from the roots of Tripterygium wilfordii. Their structures, including absolute configurations were elucidated by NMR, CD exciton chirality, ECD calculation, and single‐crystal x‐ray diffraction.

Conjugation of Coffee Phenolics With Milk Bioactive Peptides: Characterization of Coffee and Apple Phenolics and Evaluation of Polyphenol Oxidase as a Natural Biocatalyst

open access: yesFood Science &Nutrition, Volume 14, Issue 10, October 2026.
Green coffee beans provided a chlorogenic acid (CQA)‐rich extract, while apple juice served as a natural source of polyphenol oxidase (PPO). The coffee phenolics were characterized by HPLC–MS and combined with milk bioactive peptides, BioZate1 and Glycomacropeptide, under alkaline and PPO‐mediated conditions.
