Implementation of OFDM and Pulsed-OFDM
2016 International Conference on Information Technology (ICIT), 2016This work undertaken, aims to develop pulsed-OFD transmission system, which is used in wide area of wireless communications. It is noteworthy to mention that the system is baseband transmission by excluding the RF (radio frequency) part. Pulsed-OFDM enhances the OFDM that endeavors prominent performance parameters with lesser complexity in ...

P-OFDM: Spectrally Efficient Unipolar OFDM
Optical Fiber Communication Conference, 2014A novel OFDM signal format, polar-OFDM (P-OFDM), is proposed. P-OFDM offers twice as much spectral efficiency as state-of-the-art real-value unipolar OFDM formats. Inherently, the high PAPR is reduced and the numerical evaluation of the BER performance under dynamic-range constraint of optical sources demonstrates superior results.

Comparison of ACO-OFDM, DCO-OFDM and ADO-OFDM in IM/DD Systems
Journal of Lightwave Technology, 2013In this paper, three forms of orthogonal frequency division multiplexing (OFDM) designed for intensity modulated/direct detection (IM/DD) optical systems are compared. These are asymmetrically clipped optical OFDM (ACO-OFDM), DC biased optical OFDM (DCO-OFDM) and asymmetrically clipped DC biased optical OFDM (ADO-OFDM). ADO-OFDM is a new technique that

Coexistence of UF-OFDM and CP-OFDM
2016 IEEE 83rd Vehicular Technology Conference (VTC Spring), 2016Universal Filtered Orthogonal Frequency Division Multiplexing (UF-OFDM) is considered as a promising 5G waveform candidate. It requires a relatively simple transceiver structure, while achieving much better spectral properties compared to CP-OFDM. During the early deployment of 5G systems, many frequency bands will still be occupied by 4G systems ...

Technology Independent Security Aware OFDM (SA-OFDM)
2019 IEEE 30th Annual International Symposium on Personal, Indoor and Mobile Radio Communications (PIMRC), 2019Orthogonal frequency division multiplexing (OFDM) is currently the most prominent modulation technique, mainly due to it’s spectral efficiency. To improve the security performance of OFDM based systems, multiple security approaches are proposed in literature, including physical-layer (PHY) approaches.

Proceedings of the International Conference & Workshop on Emerging Trends in Technology - ICWET '11, 2011
This work considers an Orthogonal Frequency Division Multiplexing (OFDM) system over frequency selective time varying fading channel. The time variations of channel during one OFDM symbol destroy the orthogonality of different subcarriers and result Inter Carrier Interference (ICI), which results in degradation of system performance.

Comparison of DCO-OFDM, ADO-OFDM, HDC-OFDM and HNC-OFDM for Optical Wireless Communications
Journal of Optical Communications, 2018Abstract This paper presents a new form of orthogonal frequency division multiplexing (OFDM) termed as hybrid noise cancelled asymmetrically clipped optical OFDM (HNC-OFDM) for optical wireless communication. This HNC-OFDM is formed by combining the concepts of noise cancelled asymmetrically clipped optical OFDM and DC biased optical ...
