Precoded OFDM for asynchronous uplink with transparency to OFDM receiver

2017 IEEE 28th Annual International Symposium on Personal, Indoor, and Mobile Radio Communications (PIMRC), 2017
A novel waveform design approach is taken to develop a waveform based on precoding of data symbols, referred to as Precoded OFDM. The waveform is tailored for robustness against asynchronous transmission and a simple OFDM receiver to keep its intricacies hidden from the system.

OFDM IN BANDPASS NONLINEARITY

International Conference on Consumer Electronics, 1996
The behavior of orthogonal frequency division multiplexing (OFDM) signals in bandpass nonlinearity is presented. In particular, in-band bit-error-rate (BER) degradation and induced adjacent channel interference, as a result of amplitude limiting or clipping, are analyzed.

A Postfix Synchronization Method for OFDM and MIMO-OFDM Systems

2008 IEEE Wireless Communications and Networking Conference, 2008
This paper proposes a synchronization method that uses as preamble two identical training parts (Chu sequences) followed by a flipped postfix (FlP) for OFDM and MIMO-OFDM systems. The proposed method provides symbol timing and carrier frequency offset (CFO) estimators.

A Flexible OFDM-Like DFT-s-OFDM Reference Symbol

2020 10th Advanced Satellite Multimedia Systems Conference and the 16th Signal Processing for Space Communications Workshop (ASMS/SPSC), 2020
With many high throughput satellites (HTS) in space, the satellite industry is now able to provide flexible services at costs that tend to become competitive. Satellite networks may ultimately play a significant role in the global telecommunication market.

Principles of OFDM

2008
Orthogonal frequency division multiplexing (OFDM) is a multicarrier transport technology for high data rate communication system. The OFDM concept is based on spreading the high speed data to be transmitted over a large number of low rate carriers. The carriers are orthogonal to each other and frequency spacing between them are created by using the ...

OFDM transmission

2007
Publisher Summary This chapter provides an overview of orthogonal frequency division multiplexing (OFDM). It discusses OFDM as means to allow for very high overall transmission bandwidth while still being robust to signal corruption. OFDM has been adopted as the downlink transmission scheme for the Third Generation Partnership Project (3GPP) long-term
