Flip-OFDM for Unipolar Communication Systems [PDF]

open access: yesarXiv, 2011
Unipolar communications systems can transmit information using only real and positive signals. This includes a variety of physical channels ranging from optical (fiber or free-space), to RF wireless using amplitude modulation with non-coherent reception, to baseband single wire communications.

Method to Design UF-OFDM Filter and its Analysis [PDF]

open access: yesarXiv, 2017
Orthogonal Frequency Division Multiplexing (OFDM) systems have been widely used as a communication system. In OFDM systems, there are two main problems. One of them is that OFDM signals have high Peak-to-Average Power Ratio (PAPR). The other problem is that OFDM signals have large side-lobes. In particular, to reduce side-lobes, Universal-Filtered OFDM

Slow subcarrier-hopped Space Division Multiple Access OFDM systems

open access: yes, 2005
Recently Space Division Multiple Access (SDMA) assisted Multi-Input-Multi-Output (MIMO) OFDM systems invoking Multi-User Detection (MUD) techniques have attracted substantial research interests, which are capable of exploiting both transmitter ...

Uplink and Downlink Transceiver Design for OFDM with Index Modulation in Multi-user Networks [PDF]

open access: yesarXiv, 2018
A new modulation scheme called OFDM with index modulation (OFDM-IM) is introduced recently. This scheme allows to transmit additional bits by mapping a part of incoming bit stream to the indices of the subcarriers. In this work, performance of OFDM-IM in multi-user networks for uplink and downlink scenario is studied.
