Dermatology, 1989The case of a 30-year-old man with a 6-year history of eosinophilic pustular folliculitis (EPF) is reported. Isotretinoin (1 mg/kg/day) led to a dramatic improvement of all the lesions within 2 weeks. The withdrawal of the drug was followed by a recurrence after 10 days of the papulopustular f ollicular and pruritic lesions.

[Eosinophilic folliculitis (Ofuji's disease)].
Giornale italiano di dermatologia e venereologia : organo ufficiale, Societa italiana di dermatologia e sifilografia, 1990The authors report a case of recurrent folliculitis occurring in a 31 year old man. Histologic examination revealed an inflammatory cell infiltration composed predominantly of eosinophils. The Authors hypothesize that these features are consistent with a diagnosis of Ofuji disease and review the main characteristics of this rare clinical entity.
