Non‐Gaussian Hybrid Transfer Functions: Memorizing Mine Survivability Calculations
Hybrid algorithms and models have received significant interest in recent years and are increasingly used to solve real‐world problems. Different from existing methods in radial basis transfer function construction, this study proposes a novel nonlinear‐weight hybrid algorithm involving the non‐Gaussian type radial basis transfer functions.

Weighed Nonlinear Hybrid Neural Networks in Underground Rescue Mission
In our previous work, a novel model called compact radial basis function (CRBF) in a routing topology control has been modelled. The computational burden of Zhang and Gaussian transfer functions was modified by removing the power parameters on the models. The results showed outstanding performance over the Zhang and Gaussian models.

A Study of pressure fluctuation caused by hydraulic jump in stilling basin [PDF]
A stilling basin is one of the energy dissipaters downstream of a spillway. The place of maximum pressure caused by jet impact and the effect of various factors on the amount and location of pressure are important factors in designing of stilling basin ...

Blockage of driftwood and resulting head increase upstream of an ogee spillway with piers
Accumulations of floating debris in reservoirs can have negative impacts on the safe operation of a dam. Thus, adequate spillway design in view of driftwood is of paramount importance.

Numerical and experimental models applied to an ogee crest spillway and roller bucket stilling basin
Traditionally, reduced physical models are used to allow control, instrumentation and experimental evaluation of flow. More recently, computational fluid dynamics (CFD) has emerged as a tool that allows numerical modeling of flows and can complement the ...

Experimental repetitions and blockage of large stems at ogee crested spillways with piers [PDF]
Large wood is often transported by rivers into reservoirs during heavy rainfall events. When a critical section like a spillway is blocked and discharge capacity reduced, an uncontrolled increase o...

CFD-Based Modeling for Computing Discharge Coefficient of an Ogee Spillway
The basic functionality of the spillway is to control the flow and safely convey the excess flow while keeping the structure stable. An ogee spillway is commonly used due to its high discharging capacity. The discharge coefficient of an ogee spillway is greatly affected by the ratio of an operating head and design head.
