Overview of Oil-water Two-phase Flow Pressure Drop Theory
This is a review of the existing pressure drop theories for dispersed and annular flow in oil and water phases in straight wells is presented. The flow classification criteria, pressure drop calculation methods are outlined. For the dispersed flow, the homogeneous flow model and the two-fluid model are introduced.

In the modern petroleum industry system, oil-water two-phase flows exist widely. Among them, the total flow rate of mixture fluid in a horizontal well is difficult to obtain due to the phase segregation caused by gravity. Therefore, it is a difficult and

Numerical Simulation of Oil-water Two-phase Flow Interface Tracking
Abstract The insulation performance of transformer oil has a great connection with the stable operation of power systems, and transformer oil will inevitably be mixed with water and other impurities in the actual operation. To explore the mechanism of the influence of suspended water droplets on the insulation performance of transformer ...

Two-phase flow meter for determining water and solids volumetric flow rate in vertical and inclined solids-in-water flows [PDF]
Multiphase flow can be defined as the simultaneous flow of a stream of two or more phases. Solids-in-water flow is a multiphase flows where solids and liquid are both present. Due to the density differences of the two phases, the results for such flow is

The Influence on Response of a Combined Capacitance Sensor in Horizontal Oil–Water Two-Phase Flow
In the process of production logging interpretation, a water cut is one of the key factors to obtain the oil phase content in the oil well. In order to measure the water cut of the horizontal oil⁻water two-phase flow with low yield, the response ...
