Antimalarial Polyethylene Glycol–Lumefantrine Conjugates: Synthesis and Effect of Linker Chemistry on Drug Release

open access: yesAdvanced Therapeutics, Volume 9, Issue 2, February 2026.
Research into advanced therapeutics for malaria are rare. We investigate how linker chemistry governs the release kinetics of the antimalarial lumefantrine from polyethylene glycol conjugates. A clear correlation between diacid linker length and drug release rate is established, enabling rational design of conjugates with controlled release.

High‐Speed, Maneuverable, and Terrain‐Adaptive Micro‐Robot with Tree Frog‐Inspired Bionic Feet

open access: yesAdvanced Science, Volume 13, Issue 7, 3 February 2026.
A 7.5 mm micro‐robot integrates tree frog‐inspired bionic feet with an electromagnetic linear motor to achieve high‐speed locomotion, slope climbing, and precise turning. It reaches 39 body lengths per second and ascends 30° slopes. The system demonstrates strong potential for inspection tasks in confined and complex environments, such as micro‐aero ...

Mechanism‐Driven Screening of Membrane‐Targeting and Pore‐Forming Antimicrobial Peptides

open access: yesAdvanced Science, Volume 13, Issue 9, 13 February 2026.
To combat antibiotic resistance, this study employs mechanism‐driven screening with machine learning to identify pore‐forming antimicrobial peptides from amphibian and human metaproteomes. Seven peptides are validated, showing minimal toxicity and membrane disruption.

Reduced triacylglycerols and lipid droplets are associated with resilience to Alzheimer's disease

open access: yesAlzheimer's &Dementia, Volume 22, Issue 2, February 2026.
Abstract INTRODUCTION Although it has become clear that alterations in lipid metabolism are associated with Alzheimer's disease (AD), it is unclear how they contribute to both cognitive decline and the pathophysiology of AD. METHODS Lipidomics and activity‐based protein profiling (ABPP) were performed in the frontal cortex of control, AD and resilient ...
