MINING PREPARATION OF OIL FIELDS OF SHALLOW-LYING VISCOUS OIL FIELDS
Neft i Gaz, 2023In this paper, the idea of combining the experience of mining and oil production with the possibility of using gravity forces to extract oil is considered. It provides for the sinking of mine workings and wells that contribute to the outflow of oil down into the mine workings, thereby eliminating the resistance of gravity forces to the extraction of ...

Commercial oil of Gerbi Absheron oil field
Azerbaijan Oil Industry, 2020The article presents the study results of commercial oil from Gerbi Absheron oil field. Conducted research shows that this oil is low sulfur, low paraffin, tarry and heavy. The gasoline fractions obtained can be used as a component of motor gasoline, a feedstock for the catalytic reforming process and to obtain various solvents as well.

Oil/Water Separation Experience From a Large Oil Field
SPE Production & Operations, 2005Summary This paper discusses challenges related to emulsions that have been encountered in a large Saudi Arabian field. The field produces from several different reservoirs with a range of fluid properties. These properties provide an interesting case of operational challenges in oil/water separation, including increased incidents of ...

Abstract The distribution of the Rumanian oil fields is governed by lines of folding related to the major Carpathian overthrust faulting. Along these lines of folding, the production tends to focus around salt masses that form local “highs.” The source of the salt is unknown. Its rise is due to lateral pressure.

Ramadan oil field, located in the central Gulf of Suez, is one of the giant oil fields of Egypt. It is named for the Islamic month of Ramadan during which it was discovered through the drilling of the well GS303-1 in September of 1974. Production comes primarily from within the massive sandstone reservoir of the Nubia 'C' Formation which covers some 2 ...

Marginal Oil Fields, Profitable Oil at Low Reserves : How?
SPE Hydrocarbon Economics and Evaluation Symposium, 1995Abstract Fields with recoverable reserves of about five million barrels of oil are considered in Egypt as marginal fields. Economics of Egyptian marginal oil fields depend on non-traditional approaches followed in developing and operating such fields.
