Jet mixing when heating oil and fuel oil in storage tanks [PDF]

open access: yesE3S Web of Conferences, 2019
This paper presents the research results of jet mixing and heating processes of crude oil of the Zachebashskoe field (Republic of Tatarstan) and fuel oil M100 in a tank with a capacity of 2000 m3. Circulation systems with nozzle inclination in the range from -25° up to 125° are considered.

Jet Engines – Bearings, Seals and Oil Consumption

open access: yes, 2021
Purpose of this review is to understand how to find values for three input parameters for the calculation of the oil concentration in aircraft cabins. These are the number of bearings of the jet engine and the number of them upstream of the bleed air ports as well as the oil consumption per hour. ---Methodology is an Internet review of related facts. --

Fluorine‐Free Soft Nanocomposites for High‐Speed Liquid Impact Repellence

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Fluorine‐free soft nanocomposite coatings are developed using silicone oil‐mediated mechanical‐stiffness control, enabling ‘dry’ liquid‐repellent surfaces that resist high‐speed water jet impacts up to ∼60 m/s. By tuning nanoparticle loading and oil content, the coatings also achieve >90% optical transparency, amphiphobicity with impact resistance to ...
