Biodegradability of hydrocarbons in the refinery wastewater from moustorod oil refinery
Abstract The present investigation deals with the study of hydrocarbon degradation present in refinery wastewater by natural microbial flora in addition to that obtained using Ps. aeruginosa under laboratory conditions. Results indicated that Ps. aeruginosa may have a significant role in the degradation of hydrocarbons.

De Novo Design of Integrin α5β1 Modulating Proteins to Enhance Biomaterial Properties
NeoNectins are de novo‐designed miniproteins that selectively bind and stabilize the extended open form of integrin α5β1. When grafted onto biomaterials including hydrogel and titanium, they promote cell attachment and spreading in vitro and promoting tissue integration and bone growth in animal models, demonstrating broad potential for regenerative ...

Harnessing Photo‐Energy Conversion in Nanomaterials for Precision Theranostics
Harnessing photo‐energy conversion in nanomaterials enables precision theranostics through light‐driven mechanisms such as photoluminescence, photothermal, photoelectric, photoacoustic, photo‐triggered surface‐enhanced Raman scattering (SERS), and photodynamic processes. This review explores six fundamental principles of photo‐energy conversion, recent

This review examines the critical role of neighboring active motifs in heterogeneous catalysts, emphasizing how their synergistic cooperativity can be rationally designed to modulate catalytic properties. The discussion centers on the modulation of electronic and geometric structures, categorizing the catalytic systems into metal‐acid (Brønsted/Lewis ...

Surprisingly, a cell can bind to itself to make a self‐adhesion, which engineered here to improve how cells attach to biomaterials. Nanoprinting are used to make 3D structures smaller than cells–called Self‐Adhesion‐Tunnels (SATs)–around which cells can wrap and bind to themselves.
