Behavior of Injection‐Molded Nylon 6 Composites With Virgin and Field‐Exposed Waste‐Recycled Blends
Recycling field‐exposed Nylon 6 composites for sustainable secondary applications. ABSTRACT Every year, more than 18,600 metric tonnes of glass fiber‐reinforced Nylon 6 composite waste from sucker rod guides used in downhole oil and gas applications are landfilled due to uncertainty about retained performance after prolonged service exposure.

Kinetics of anionic polymerization of β‐myrcene in hydrocarbon solvents
The process of anionic polymerization of β‐myrcene in hydrocarbon solvents was examined by kinetic studies and quantum chemical calculations. Abstract The kinetics of anionic polymerization of β‐myrcene initiated by sec‐butyllithium were examined in saturated and unsaturated hydrocarbon solvents, i.e. cyclohexane, cyclohexene, 4‐vinylcyclohexene and dl‐

Biosurfactant was produced by Pseudomonas aeruginosa using andiroba waste from Amazonia. A biosurfactant–alginate composite (Alg/BioS) was successfully synthesized via ionotropic gelation, and achieved up to 70% Cr6+ removal from water. Abstract Environmental contamination by heavy metals represents a significant challenge due to their persistence in ...

Hydroxypropyl‐β‐cyclodextrin (HPβCD)–N,N‐diethyl‐meta‐toluamide (DEET) complex extended tick repellency to 168 h. Full protection against Aedes aegypti for 7 h with HPβCD‐DEET. HPβCD reduced DEET release and skin retention significantly. No embryotoxicity observed below 325 mg L−1 in zebrafish model.
