Influence of Oil Viscosity on Alkaline Flooding for Enhanced Heavy Oil Recovery
Oil viscosity was studied as an important factor for alkaline flooding based on the mechanism of “water drops” flow. Alkaline flooding for two oil samples with different viscosities but similar acid numbers was compared.

Programmable Functional Silicification of DNA Origami Nanostructures
This work introduces additional functionality into silica‐coated DNA origami nanostructures using non‐standard silica precursors. A fluorescent precursor enables enhanced intracellular tracking, while a disulfide‐containing reagent yields redox‐responsive, degradable silica coatings.

Transient Cytoskeletal Anisotropy Encodes Short‐Term Mechanical Memory in Glioblastoma Cells
The same mechanical deformation can produce distinct cytoskeletal states depending on loading history. Experiments and constitutive modeling reveal that transient actin–vimentin anisotropy stores mechanical information and governs short‐term mechanical memory in glioblastoma cells.

A microfluidic method is presented which enables parallelized fabrication of rod‐shaped microgels, based on step‐emulsification (SE) droplet generation and subsequent droplet distribution and confinement, combined in a single device. Microgel rods are fabricated in parallel at different flow rates based on two light‐mediated crosslinking chemistries ...

A solid‐state ionic actuator integrates sensing, actuation, and memory within one material. A brief UV pulse induces long‐lasting deformation via coupled network rearrangement, dehydration, and rehydration, while ionic redistribution enables self‐powered sensing, supporting multifunctional, energy‐efficient soft robotic functions without continuous ...

Improvement in Surface Quality of Ironing Product Using Differential Lubrication
Ironing is an effective process for precisely finishing a formed product at the final stage of a series of forming processes. Generally, a high-performance lubricant oil with high viscosity is used to prevent galling under severe forming conditions, but ...
