Word‐Length counting in Old Church Slavonic
Journal of Quantitative Linguistics, 1997Abstract The paper presents some empirical word length data (based on the number of syllables) from Old Church Slavonic and shows that the hyper‐Poisson distribution can be considered an adequate model of these data.

Aspect and prefixation in Old Church Slavonic
Diachronica, 2015In this article we focus on one grammaticalization path to perfective markers, that of the so-called ‘bounder perfectives’ (Bybee & Dahl 1989). Systems with these kinds of perfective markers – often called ‘Slavic-style aspect’ – are particularly elaborated in the Slavic languages.

Die Welt der SlavenThe Old Church Slavonic eucharistic term vъsǫdъ is an original Slavic word derived from the verb *vъsǫditi (vъ + sǫd-) ‘to judge; to condemn; to determine’. e Slavic lexeme aests a semantic calque of Old High German wiz(z)ōd ‘law, commandment; (Old / New) Testament; communion’ (the second stage of the semantic shift is not aested in Slavic).
