Use of Soy/PF resin for Old Corrugated Container (OCC)-wood Composites

Materials Letters, 2008
In this study, Old Corrugated Container (OCC) was used as the raw material for producing composite materials. The objective of this study was evaluation of boards made of various ratios (0:100, 25:75, 50:50, 75:25 and 100:0) of OCC flakes to wood particle mixtures (wt:wt) with addition of Soy/PF resin at three levels (3.5, 7 and 10%) and 1.5% wax.

Physical and Mechanical Properties of a Highly Filled Old Corrugated Container (OCC) Fiber/Polyethylene Composite

Journal of Reinforced Plastics and Composites, 2009
Physical and mechanical properties of a new composite of 70% (by weight) old corrugated container recycled fibers, 27% high-density polyethylene, and 3% compatibilizer (maleic anhydride polyethylene) were evaluated with a focus on dimensional stability.

The Effect of Old Corrugated Container (OCC) Pulp Addition on the Properties of Paper Made with Virgin Softwood Kraft Pulps

In this study, old corrugated container (OCC) pulp was added in different ratios (5%, 10%, 15%, 20%, and 25% w/w) to unbleached virgin pulps of both European black pine and Scots pine, and its effects on paper properties were investigated. As a control, OCC pulp-free handsheets were separately produced from European black pine and Scots pine pulps. The
