Review of larval food plant associations of the Agaristinae (Lepidoptera: Noctuidae) in Australia

open access: yesAustral Entomology, Volume 64, Issue 2, May 2025.
Abstract The Australian Agaristinae comprises a small group of predominantly diurnal moths with aposematic larvae and adults that are assumed to be unpalatable to most predators. A critical review of the larval food plants of this subfamily based on published records in the literature, together with unpublished records, is presented.

Oldenlandia diffusa Ameliorates Dextran Sulphate Sodium-Induced Colitis Through Inhibition of NF-κB Activation

open access: yes, 2011
Ulcerative colitis (UC) is an inflammatory bowel disease, which is a chronic gastrointestinal disorder. Oldenlandia diffusa (OD) has been used as a traditional oriental medicine for inflammation. However, the regulatory effect and molecular mechanism of

The deconstruction of the psoriasis system based on the theory of state‐target differentiation and treatment

open access: yesAdvanced Chinese Medicine, Volume 1, Issue 4, Page 200-209, December 2024.
Abstract Psoriasis is a chronic, inflammatory skin condition characterized by its recurrent nature, often accompanied by various systemic comorbidities. It may not fully satisfy the precise diagnostic and therapeutic demands for psoriasis by the theory of syndrome differentiation and treatment of traditional Chinese medicine (TCM).

AXL promotes malignant phenotypes in tumor cells and might be a potential antitumor target of natural products

open access: yesAdvanced Chinese Medicine, Volume 1, Issue 4, Page 179-189, December 2024.
Abstract AXL belongs to the TAM receptor tyrosine kinase family. Relying on binding its high‐affinity ligand—growth arrest‐specific protein 6 (Gas6)—AXL plays an important role in tumor initiation and progression. Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) has been clinically used in tumor treatment for a long time, and remarkable therapeutic efficacy has been

Comparative study of Scleromitrion diffusum and Oldenlandia corymbosa: Microscopy, TLC, HPLC, and antioxidant activity

open access: yesMicroscopy Research and Technique, Volume 87, Issue 10, Page 2371-2384, October 2024.
Comparative study of Scleromitrion diffusum and Oldenlandia corymbosa: microscopy, TLC, HPLC and antioxidant activity. Abstract Quality control of herbal medicines is crucial, especially the role of herbal drug identification. This is essential for preventing the misuse of herbs, which can affect efficacy or cause toxicity.

Plant density and variety effect on yield, leaf spot disease, weed species richness and diversity of groundnut production in northern Ghana

open access: yesWeed Biology and Management, Volume 24, Issue 2, Page 71-87, June 2024.
Abstract Low plant density and weed infestation are major challenges for groundnut production in northern Ghana. A two‐year on‐farm study was conducted to determine the effect of plant density and variety on grain and fodder yields, incidence of leaf spot disease, weed species diversity and biomass.

Preparation of amino-modified active carbon cartridges and their use in the extraction of quercetin from Oldenlandia diffusa

open access: yesJournal of Pharmaceutical and Biomedical Analysis, 2011
Polyethyleneimine (PEI) and ethylenediamine (EDA) as modifiers were bonded on active carbon (AC) surface for specific selective extraction of quercetin from Oldenlandia diffusa. The characteristics of the modified AC materials that were obtained were investigated by field emission-scanning electron microscopy (FE-SEM) and Fourier transform infrared ...
