Muscle oxygen saturation plateau: Definition and verification in different oxygen availability conditions in locomotor and non‐locomotor muscles

open access: yesExperimental Physiology, Volume 111, Issue 2, Page 464-473, 1 February 2026.
Abstract Novel wearable near‐infrared spectroscopy devices allow for a better understanding of muscle oxygenation kinetics during exercise. A muscle oxygen saturation (SmO2) plateau is often applied in the scientific literature, but clear criteria for its definition remain unestablished to date.

Electrolyte‐Jet 3D Printing of Copper‐Based Strain Sensors for Physiological Signal Monitoring and Robotic Manipulation

open access: yesAdvanced Materials Technologies, Volume 11, Issue 1, 8 January 2026.
Electrolyte‐jet (EJ) 3D printing turns copper ions into precisely arranged copper microspheres, which combine with flexible polymers and carbon nanomaterials to create durable, high‐sensitivity sensors. These sensors accurately monitor human motion and physiological signals. Real‐time robotic hand control via gesture mirroring demonstrates an intuitive

The Myofascial Continuum: Anatomical Insights Into Noncardiac Chest Pain

open access: yesClinical Anatomy, Volume 39, Issue 1, Page 2-8, January 2026.
ABSTRACT Angina, commonly known as chest pain, is the primary symptom of ischemic heart disease and can also present as pain in the neck, shoulder, jaw, arm, or back. Noncardiac chest pain (NCCP) is a common disorder with various causes, marked by recurrent chest pain that mimics ischemic heart pain.

Growth Plate Injury Leading to Madelung‐Type Deformity After ESIN in Children: A Case Report and a Narrative Review of the Literature

open access: yesClinical Case Reports, Volume 14, Issue 1, January 2026.
Limitation of the movement 9‐year operated both bone forearm fracture. ABSTRACT Late asymmetric growth arrest of the distal ulna and subsequent Madelung‐type deformity may occur following elastic stable intramedullary nailing (ESIN) performed near the distal ulnar physis.

Intraosseous ganglion cyst of olecranon

open access: yesInternational Journal of Preventive Medicine, 2012
Intraosseous ganglia are benign cysts that usually can be seen in lower extremity; especially around ankle. These cysts have fewer incidences in upper extremity, mainly around the wrist. They are extremely rare in olecranon.

Use of a Bone Graft Drill Harvester to Create the Fenestration During Arthroscopic Ulnohumeral Arthroplasty

open access: yesArthroscopy Techniques, 2015
The Outerbridge-Kashiwagi procedure, or ulnohumeral arthroplasty, was described in 1978 as a method of treating elbow arthritis by creating a fenestration in the olecranon fossa.

The Effects of Flaxseed Consumption on Frailty and Sarcopenia in Patients With Liver Cirrhosis: An Open‐Labeled Randomized Controlled Clinical Trial

open access: yesFood Science &Nutrition, Volume 14, Issue 1, January 2026.
Flaxseed consumption can have favorable effects on muscle strength, reducing frailty and sarcopenia in patients with liver cirrhosis by alleviating inflammation and disease severity. The antioxidant and anti‐inflammatory effects of flaxseed may provide potential benefits as an adjunctive therapy for patients with cirrhosis.

The Association Between Height‐Related Novel Anthropometric Indices and Cardiovascular Events: A Cross‐Sectional Insight From the MASHAD Cohort Study

open access: yesHealth Science Reports, Volume 9, Issue 1, January 2026.
ABSTRACT Background and Aims Cardiovascular diseases (CVDs) are a worldwide health concern, with factors like poor nutrition and environmental conditions contributing to the burden of CVD and its mortality. Height and other anthropometric indices such as neck circumference (NC), hip circumference (HC), wrist circumference (WrC), waist‐to‐height ratio ...
