Next steps in OLED lighting

open access: yes, 2022
S.14Whereas the first OLED lighting product was already introduced in 2008 by Ingo Maurer and Osram the market penetration of OLED lighting is still low. This is mainly caused by the huge progress in inorganic LED technology.

OLED-Pumped Organic Laser Diode [PDF]

open access: yes
A theoretical analysis is presented for a recently proposed high-speed µ-OLED optically pumped organic laser. We confirm that for this configuration, the laser threshold is reached at a lower current density than in the case of a direct-electrically ...

Dry Vacuum Processing of Perovskite Films: Insights Into Growth and Precision Control Enabling Batch‐Stable High‐Efficiency Solar Cells

open access: yesCarbon Energy, EarlyView.
This work establishes a standardized, additive‐free dry vacuum sublimation process for perovskite solar cells. By uncovering atomic‐scale growth mechanisms, we demonstrate that sequential deposition provides superior film quality compared to co‐deposition.

Distinct Ligand‐ and Metal‐Centered Phosphorescence in a Terbium Carbazolyl Complex

open access: yesChemistry – A European Journal, EarlyView.
Terbium and lanthanum carbazolide complexes show two distinct modes of luminescence: Strongly temperature‐dependent narrow‐line terbium emission could be induced. In addition, both the terbium and the lanthanum complexes show broad‐line interligand emission processes with excited states of microsecond life‐time.

IR drop-independent 8T1C LTPS pixel circuit for medium-sized AMOLED displays

open access: yesJournal of Information Display
OLED displays have been widely used in mobile devices due to their numerous advantages. The pixel circuits of OLED displays typically employ low-temperature polycrystalline silicon (LTPS) thin-film transistors (TFTs) for their high mobility and ...

Accessing Sn≥2 States of a TADF Emitter by Femtosecond NIR Spectroscopy

open access: yesChemistry – A European Journal, EarlyView.
The depicted thermally activated delayed fluorescence (TADF) emitter was studied by femtosecond near‐infrared (NIR) spectroscopy. A prominent NIR transition was shown to be strongly solvent‐dependent, with implication for intersystem crossing in the compound.
