Structure‐oriented design of NHC‐based tetradentate Pt(II) complexes offers narrowband deep‐blue emission for OLEDs. This review highlights how steric shielding and electronic modulation regulate intermolecular interactions, excited‐state dynamics, and device performance, outlining design principles and outlines toward efficient and durable blue ...

Distinct Ligand‐ and Metal‐Centered Phosphorescence in a Terbium Carbazolyl Complex
Terbium and lanthanum carbazolide complexes show two distinct modes of luminescence: Strongly temperature‐dependent narrow‐line terbium emission could be induced. In addition, both the terbium and the lanthanum complexes show broad‐line interligand emission processes with excited states of microsecond life‐time.

Synthesis and Characterization of Carbazole‐Containing Aza[7]helicenes
Double ortho fusion led to different aza[7]helicene frameworks showing strong acidochromic behavior, singlet excited energies being more than twice the triplet energy, and high racemization barriers, allowing chiral resolution and ECD measurements. ABSTRACT Azahelicenes have attracted significant interest due to their intrinsic axial chirality and ...

Accessing Sn≥2 States of a TADF Emitter by Femtosecond NIR Spectroscopy
The depicted thermally activated delayed fluorescence (TADF) emitter was studied by femtosecond near‐infrared (NIR) spectroscopy. A prominent NIR transition was shown to be strongly solvent‐dependent, with implication for intersystem crossing in the compound.

Bright Solvatochromic Fluorophores With Dual Emission Enabled by a Donor‐Engineering Strategy
We screened tertiary amines for installation on the donor unit of highly emissive donor–acceptor‐type solvatochromic fluorophores based on a 9,9‐dimethyl‐2‐phenyl‐9H‐fluorene scaffold, with the aim of enabling two bright emissive states to coexist. As a result, the azetidine derivative [4] and the azepane derivative [7] exhibited clear dual emission ...

A bilayer protection approach is proposed for slowing down the surface potential decay of thin films of spontaneously‐polarized electret materials. The electret and the protective films are characterized, and the protection effectiveness is investigated under the effects of light illumination, water contact and mechanical impact.
