Consecutive (Pseudo‐)Four‐Component Synthesis of Meta‐ and Ortho‐Biaryl Triarylamines with Tunable Emission and Redox Properties

open access: yesEuropean Journal of Organic Chemistry, Volume 29, Issue 9, 2 March 2026.
The combination of Suzuki and Buchwald–Hartwig coupling in (pseudo‐)four‐component reactions paves an efficient one‐pot route to twisted, redox‐active triarylamine (TAA) emitters. Biaryl substitution patterns and para‐substituents serve as key levers for tuning redox potentials, as well as absorption and emission energies, complemented and, by time ...

High‐Performance Flexible Near‐Infrared Organic Light‐Emitting Diodes with a Heterogeneous Alloy Semitransparent Electrode

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, Volume 38, Issue 17, 20 March 2026.
This study presents a micro‐structured magnesium‐bismuth alloy electrode that enhances flexible NIR OLEDs. The electrode provides 40% broadband transmittance (400–1600 nm) and boosts light outcoupling efficiency (42.3%) and photoluminescence quantum yield (71.8%) through the Purcell effect in optical microcavities.

Arbitrary Total Angular Momentum Vectorial Holography Using Bi‐Layer Metasurfaces

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, Volume 38, Issue 15, 12 March 2026.
A bi‐layer metasurface platform is presented for arbitrary total angular momentum vectorial holography, where polarization and orbital angular momentum are exploited as independent multiplexing dimensions. By overcoming symmetry limitations of single‐layer designs, the approach generates distinct vectorial holographic images for each orthogonal TAM ...

Resistive Heating for Inducing Localized Crystal Growth in Organic Thin Film Devices

open access: yesAdvanced Materials Technologies, Volume 11, Issue 5, 6 March 2026.
Rubrene thin films are promising for organic optoelectronics due to high hole mobility. However, uncontrolled crystallization and grain boundaries from standard thermal processing hinder lateral device scalability. This work presents femtosecond‐laser micromachining and patterned resistive heating to induce localized, deterministic crystallization ...
