Enhanced outcoupling in down-conversion white organic light-emitting diodes using imprinted microlens array films with breath figure patterns

open access: yesScience and Technology of Advanced Materials, 2019
We demonstrate high-performance down-conversion microlens array (DC-MLA) films for white organic light-emitting diodes (OLEDs). The DC-MLA films are readily fabricated by an imprinting method based on breath figure patterns, which are directly formed on ...

Effects of the phosphorescent sensitizer on charge dynamics in deep blue phosphor-sensitized-fluorescent organic light-emitting diodes

open access: yesJournal of Information Display, 2021
In phosphor-sensitized-fluorescent organic light-emitting diodes (PSF-OLEDs), triplet excitons generated in the emitting layer (EML) are harvested by the sensitizer and the excitonic energy is efficiently transferred to the fluorescent dopant molecules ...

Exciton Binding Energy of Phosphorescent Emitter Molecules in Organic Light‐Emitting Diodes

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Energy level alignment is key to efficient OLED design, yet determining LUMO energies remains challenging. A methodology based on field‐induced dissociation and kinetic Monte Carlo simulations is presented to extract LUMO energies of iridium‐based phosphorescent emitters from their exciton binding energy.
