A transcriptomic analysis of Echinococcus granulosus larval stages: implications for parasite biology and host adaptation.

open access: yesPLoS Neglected Tropical Diseases, 2012
BackgroundThe cestode Echinococcus granulosus--the agent of cystic echinococcosis, a zoonosis affecting humans and domestic animals worldwide--is an excellent model for the study of host-parasite cross-talk that interfaces with two mammalian hosts.

Revolutionising Agricultural Sustainability: New ‘Furrow Tillage’ can Mitigate Short‐Term Soil‐to‐Atmosphere CO2 Flux and Promote Soil‐Plant‐Microbe Health

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Furrow tillage resolves the conventional‐vs.‐no‐tillage trade‐off by simultaneously cutting CO2 efflux to 2.0–3.0 g C m−2 d−1 and unlocking high nutrient availability for the rice rhizosphere. This scalable agronomic solution strengthens soil health, enhances plant physiology, reshapes microbial metabolism, and shifts paddy systems toward a net ...

SOX5 Orchestrates Malignant Evolution via Promoter‐Centric Chromatin Remodeling in MYC‐Driven B‐Cell Lymphoma

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
In MYC‐enforced B‐cell lymphoma, SOX5 occupies promoter‐proximal regulatory regions and is associated with reduced chromatin accessibility at the PCNP locus. PCNP repression promotes proliferative remodeling by limiting apoptosis and cell‐cycle restraint.

Genomic sequence of a mutant strain of Caenorhabditis elegans with an altered recombination pattern

open access: yesBMC Genomics, 2010
Background The original sequencing and annotation of the Caenorhabditis elegans genome along with recent advances in sequencing technology provide an exceptional opportunity for the genomic analysis of wild-type and mutant strains.

A Decoy‐Receptor‐Armed Biomimetic Nanotherapeutic With Inherent Tropism for Conserved Pathogenic Macrophages for Treating Osteoarthritis and Intervertebral Disc Degeneration

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
A biomimetic doppelgänger nanosystem neutralizes extracellular inflammatory cytokines and silences intracellular pyroptosis, reprogramming pathogenic macrophages to attenuate both joint and spine degeneration. ABSTRACT Osteoarthritis (OA) and intervertebral disc degeneration (IVDD) are debilitating musculoskeletal disorders driven by shared ...

Strontium and Osteoporosis

open access: yesTürk Osteoporoz Dergisi, 2004
Osteoporosis (OP) is a condition of bone fragility resulting from micro-architectural deterioration and decreased bone mass. OP depends on the interaction of genetic, hormonal, environmental and nutritional factors.

MITE insertion-dependent expression of CitRKD1 with a RWP-RK domain regulates somatic embryogenesis in citrus nucellar tissues

open access: yesBMC Plant Biology, 2018
Background Somatic embryogenesis in nucellar tissues is widely recognized to induce polyembryony in major citrus varieties such as sweet oranges, satsuma mandarins and lemons.

SynNotch Receptors for Visualizing Immunoreceptor Force Transmission and Downstream Signaling In Vivo

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
A mechanically activated SynNotch reporter platform enables detection of force transmission through receptors as they mediate immune cell interactions. Targeting CD40 on B cells and TCR on T cells records force‐induced reporter activation across 2D coculture, 3D organoid, and implanted in mice, which also reveal force‐amplification of immune receptor ...

Autophagy Orchestrates Anti‐Tumor Immunity to Enhance Chemosensitivity via the FBXW2/C/EBPβ/TIMP‐2 Axis in Colorectal Cancer

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Chemotherapy leverages tumor‐cell autophagy to reshape the colorectal cancer immune microenvironment. Autophagy degrades FBXW2 to promote C/EBPβ‐mediated TIMP‐2 transcription and MMP‐9 suppression, driving intra‐tumoral CD8+ T‐cell infiltration. Targeting MMP‐2/9 or restoring TIMP‐2 overcomes chemo‐resistance in autophagy‐deficient tumors. ABSTRACT The

Prokaryotic expression of homo androgen receptor DNA binding domain and co-crystallization with androgen response element

open access: yes四川大学学报. 自然科学版, 2019
Obtained a highresolution complex crystal structure of the androgen receptor (AR) and its response element (ARE) could provide a theoretical basis for drug target design for the treatment of prostate cancer.
