Dual inhibition of HIV-1 replication by integrase-LEDGF allosteric inhibitors is predominant at the post-integration stage. [PDF]

open access: yesRetrovirology, 2013
BackgroundLEDGF/p75 (LEDGF) is the main cellular cofactor of HIV-1 integrase (IN). It acts as a tethering factor for IN, and targets the integration of HIV in actively transcribed gene regions of chromatin.

Efficient and specific internal cleavage of a retroviral palindromic DNA sequence by tetrameric HIV-1 integrase. [PDF]

open access: yesPLoS ONE, 2007
BACKGROUND: HIV-1 integrase (IN) catalyses the retroviral integration process, removing two nucleotides from each long terminal repeat and inserting the processed viral DNA into the target DNA.

The Role of Mesenchymal Stromal Cells in the Treatment of Bronchopulmonary Dysplasia: A Multi-Prong Approach for a Heterogeneous Disease. [PDF]

open access: yesCompr Physiol
ABSTRACT Acute lung injury can be a devastating ailment leading to death in patients of all ages. In preterm neonates, lung injury is unique and unlike what is seen in pediatric and adult populations. The physiology behind the acute lung injury endured in developing lungs and the chronicity of harmful stimuli vastly distinguish how bronchopulmonary ...

Twenty-year trends in patient referrals throughout the creation and development of a regional memory clinic network. [PDF]

open access: yesAlzheimers Dement (N Y), 2020
Abstract Introduction Memory clinics (MCs) are the main model for dementia diagnosis and care. Following the development of a MC network in Northern France, our objectives were to assess its impact on patient characteristics over 20 years. Methods The characteristics of new consultants were studied from 1997 to 2016.

The MIR34B/C genomic region contains multiple potential regulators of multiciliogenesis

open access: yesFEBS Letters, Volume 597, Issue 12, Page 1623-1637, June 2023., 2023
Using single‐cell RNA‐seq and super‐resolution microscopy from several multiciliogenesis models, we show that BTG4, LAYN, and HOATZ, three proximal genes of the MIR34B/C locus, are expressed in precursors and mature multiciliated cells (MCCs). This graphical abstract illustrates the localization of Layilin/LAYN and HOATZ in motile cilia of MCCs.
