Abstract Refractory inclusions (RIs) in chondrites are widely used as tracers of early solar system formation conditions. In the context of sample‐return missions, a non‐destructive and non‐invasive analytical tool that can rapidly detect and characterize RIs in space samples during their early phase of study is highly needed.

The Absence of Cold Dust and the Mineralogy and Origin of the Warm Dust Encircling BD +20 307
Spitzer Space Telescope photometry and spectroscopy of BD +20 307 show that all of the dust around this remarkable Gyr-old spectroscopic binary arises within 1 AU. No additional cold dust is needed to fit the infrared excess.

VIS‐to‐MIR reflectance and Raman spectroscopy of the CM2 NWA 12184 carbonaceous chondrite
Abstract The spectral analysis of CM meteorites can help to constrain the mineralogical composition of their parent body, the C‐type asteroids. The CM2 NWA 12184 was spectrally examined employing seven complementary techniques at different spatial resolutions, including VIS‐to‐MIR reflectance and Raman spectroscopy.

Abstract Results of microanalysis study of NWA 869 meteorite, an ordinary chondrite, where silicates, Fe‐Ni alloys, and troilite are major constituents, are reported. The presented study of microtextures in metallic and sulfide grains provides information on processes occurring from the asteroid's accretion, through the impacts until cooling.

The Mobility of Major and Trace Elements in EOC Minerals on Parent Chondrite Bodies
The combined EPMA and SIMS study of the geochemical features of olivine, low-Ca pyroxene and plagioclase in equilibrated ordinary chondrites (EOCs) has revealed the effect of thermal metamorphism on trace element concentrations in EOC silicate minerals ...

Abstract It has been proposed that IIE iron meteorites formed through impact processes on a parent body that was composed of either the H chondrites or a much‐debated fourth ordinary chondrite group, the HH chondrites. To resolve this debate, we have compiled a large dataset for the ordinary chondrites, low‐fayalite ungrouped chondrites, and IIE irons,

An integrated mineralogical, petrographic, light stable isotope and noble gas investigation of Sahara 99201 ureilite [PDF]
New ureilite Sahara 99201 has been investigated to determine mineralogy, petrography, light stable isotopes and noble gases. The sample is a typical olivine pigeonite ureilite (Fo 78, Wo 10, En 72).
