Fe Oxidation State and Oxygen Isotope Composition of Diverse Metasomatized Peridotite Rocks

open access: yesTerra Nova, Volume 37, Issue 6, Page 403-412, December 2025.
ABSTRACT Metasomatic fluids are thought to be oxidising agents that react with the surrounding mantle rocks, causing changes in the bulk Fe3+/∑Fe, their redox state, and affecting the partitioning of trace elements and the fractionation of O isotopes. Worldwide distributed metasomatized peridotites represent the ideal case study to investigate the role

Frequency‐Dependent Anisotropy and Upper Plate Deformation Due To Seamount Subduction in Northern Luzon

open access: yesGeophysical Research Letters, Volume 52, Issue 22, 28 November 2025.
Abstract Seamount subduction influences subduction zone dynamics by altering stress fields, fracture patterns, and seismic anisotropy. This study utilizes local S‐wave splitting analysis to investigate crustal and upper mantle deformation associated with seamount subduction beneath northern Luzon.

Transformation of a Silicate Material for Carbon Negative Magnesia‐Based Cement via Electrochemistry

open access: yesAdvanced Science, Volume 12, Issue 42, November 13, 2025.
The transformation of a magnesium trisilicate material via water electrolysis into precursor phases necessary for magnesium‐based M‐S‐H cement is explored. The dissolution of the material mediated electrochemically is monitored, and the analysis of the resulting phases indicate their suitability as effective precursors for M‐S‐H cement.
