Sclerostin

open access: yesJournal of Osteoporosis, 2010
The striking clinical benefits of intermittent parathyroid hormone in osteoporosis have begun a new era of skeletal anabolic agents. One potential new agent is monoclonal antibody to sclerostin, a potent inhibitor of osteoblastogenesis.

The Open Method of Coordination (OMC) as an Evolutionary Learning Process [PDF]

open access: yes, 2009
We interpret the Open Method of Coordination (OMC), recently adopted by the EU as a mode of governance in the area of social policy and other fields, as an imitative learning dynamics of the type considered in evolutionary game theory.

Molybdenum Sulfide (MoS2)/Ordered Mesoporous Carbon (OMC) Tubular Mesochannel Photocatalyst for Enhanced Photocatalytic Oxidation for Removal of Volatile Organic Compounds (VOCs)

open access: yesFrontiers in Chemistry, 2022
Air pollutants cause severe problems in urban areas, specifically in terms of toxicological impacts on human health. Therefore, it is urgent to develop an effective, safe, and inexpensive technique to remove these air pollutants.

Development of Octyl Methoxy Cinnamates (OMC)/Silicon Dioxide (SiO2) Nanoparticles by Sol-Gel Emulsion Method

open access: yesNanomaterials, 2017
Although octyl methoxy cinnamates (OMC) is the most used Ultraviolet B (UVB) filter in sunscreen, it has poor light stability in emulsion system. In this study, OMC/SiO2 nanoparticles were prepared via sol-gel emulsion method.

Colloidal bimetallic platinum–ruthenium nanoparticles in ordered mesoporous carbon films as highly active electrocatalysts for the hydrogen evolution reaction [PDF]

open access: yes, 2020
Hydrogen features a very high specific energy density and is therefore a promising candidate for clean fuel from renewable resources. Water electrolysis can convert electrical energy into storable and transportable hydrogen gas.

Ordinary Muon Capture for Double Beta Decay and Anti-Neutrino Nuclear Responses

open access: yesFrontiers in Astronomy and Space Sciences, 2021
This is a brief review on ordinary muon capture (OMC) experiments at Research Center for Nuclear Physics (RCNP) Osaka University relevant for the study of double beta decays (DBDs) and astro anti-neutrinos (neutrino) nuclear responses. OMC usually leaves

Durability of Ordered Mesoporous Carbon Supported Pt Particles as Catalysts for Direct Formic Acid Fuel Cells

open access: yesInternational Journal of Electrochemical Science, 2012
This paper examines the possibility of ordered mesoporous carbon (OMC) supported Pt particles (Pt/OMC) as catalysts for direct formic acid fuel cells (DFAFCs), with focus on the durability issue.

The open method of coordination – effectively preventing welfare state retrenchment?

open access: yes, 2009
This article re-examines the division between "optimists" and "pessimists" within the literature on the Open Method of Coordination’s (OMC) effectiveness. Each of those "camps" tends to focus on a different question.

High‐Resolution Imaging of CO Outflows in OMC‐2 and OMC‐3 [PDF]

open access: yesThe Astrophysical Journal, 2003
A large scale, high resolution map of CO(1-0) emission toward the OMC-2 and OMC-3 star forming regions is presented. The map is a mosaic of 46 fields using the Berkeley-Illinois-Maryland Array (BIMA) and covers $\sim 10'\times 15'$ at $\sim 10" $ resolution.
