B‐Lymphoblastic Leukemia Presenting as Bilateral Ovarian Masses in a 20‐Year‐Old Woman

open access: yesClinical Case Reports, Volume 14, Issue 10, October 2026.

Preoperative CT Suspicion of Main Pancreatic Duct Injury in Isolated Blunt Pancreatic Trauma: A Case Report With Operative Correlation

open access: yesClinical Case Reports, Volume 14, Issue 10, October 2026.
ABSTRACT An 18‐year‐old male had persistent tachycardia after blunt abdominal trauma. CT signs raised suspicion of main pancreatic duct disruption in the tail (suspected AAST Grade III). Exploratory laparotomy confirmed ductal transection, managed by spleen‐preserving distal pancreatectomy.

Indocyanine green for intraoperative ureteral identification in gynecologic surgery: A preliminary systematic review of feasibility, safety, and surgical outcomes

open access: yesInternational Journal of Gynecology &Obstetrics, Volume 175, Issue 1, Page 67-76, October 2026.
Abstract Background Intraoperative ureteral injury, although uncommon, can result in significant morbidity and medicolegal consequences, particularly during complex gynecologic procedures such as endometriosis excision and prolapse repair. Conventional ureteral identification techniques, including stents and methylene blue, have recognized limitations.

Adipocyte‐Derived KIF13B Aggravates Obesity‐Associated Metabolic Dysfunction via LRP1/PPARγ Signaling

open access: yesMedComm, Volume 7, Issue 10, October 2026.
Adipocyte‐derived KIF13B promotes LRP1 localization and nuclear LRP1–PPARγ transcriptional activity, thereby enhancing adipogenic gene expression, lipid accumulation, and obesity‐associated metabolic dysfunction. Adipocyte‐specific Kif13b deletion disrupts this LRP1/PPARγ axis, suppresses adipogenic programming, reduces adipose expansion, and protects ...

Imaging in gynecological disease (32): clinical and ultrasound characteristics of early abdominal ectopic pregnancy

open access: yesUltrasound in Obstetrics &Gynecology, Volume 68, Issue 4, Page 571-579, October 2026.
ABSTRACT Objectives To compare clinical and sonographic characteristics of first‐trimester abdominal ectopic pregnancy (AEP) with those of tubal ectopic pregnancy (TEP), and to define ultrasound‐based diagnostic criteria for AEP. Methods This was a retrospective case–control study comparing cases of AEP diagnosed at four centers with controls diagnosed

Correlation Between Anastomotic Leakage and the Anastomotic Position of the Gastric Conduit After Esophagectomy Using ICG Fluorescence Imaging Stratification

open access: yesWorld Journal of Surgery, Volume 50, Issue 10, Page 2987-2995, October 2026.
This study aimed to clarify the correlation between anastomotic leakage and anastomotic position after esophagectomy for esophageal cancer, stratified by gastric conduit blood flow assessed using indocyanine green (ICG) fluorescence imaging. ABSTRACT Background This study aimed to clarify the correlation between anastomotic leakage and anastomotic ...
